I think I am about done with my latest Kendall Expressions painting. In the fourth layer I decided to play off complicated areas with broad color fields.  I am pretty sure I am not going to make any more changes. 

The final state is below but I don't have it available on my website yet.  Soon!

Time to get back to a local painting.  Love this gorgeous New River Valley and I have plans for a large floral landscape based on a field near Childress, VA.

Clyde and I had a great meeting  with the president of Ferrum College, Jennifer Braaten. We enjoyed looking at the college's art collection and talking about Ferrum history.  Such a great school and beautiful campus!

 Life with The Bird and Word Man - Clyde Kessler

The VSO Breeding Bird Foray is turning out to be a great success.  The Bird Man was worried he wouldn't have enough help but he has recruited 26 so he is smiling big right now!  The Foray goes through this Sunday and he will be out checking on all of the populations every day.  These surveys are important indicators of environmental health due to the fact that birds are much easier to find and monitor than other wildlife.  Go Bird Man!!!
