have been talking a lot about Yoga to Clyde. It has helped me a lot
and he thinks he will probably start taking lessons to see if it could
help his hip injury.
I have only been taking lessons for a year
but I realize more and more that I have been doing some Yoga for a long
time. Ever since my Mom made us kids clean the bathrooms I have been
doing Downward Facing Grunge. I didn't scrub floors until after I was
married and that is when I started Table Top Scrape. That one is also
good for the bathroom. I sort of do Legs up the wall when I can't reach
something under the bed with my hands, but it is Legs Straight in
Love Yoga! The Yoga we do in class and Household Yoga! Got to keep moving and stretching!
of us have been fighting a bug this week. Something awful is going
around. I don't care how much hand sanitizer people use, you can't
avoid some illness. The only way to stay germ free is to wear a space
suit around people. I don't think that will catch on.
we are all doing better and had a good supper. Afterwards I made
coffee. I usually pour his and mine but we take different things in
it. I like truvia and milk and he likes sugar and cream. I
accidentally put truvia in his. I told him I was sorry for the mistake
and, of course, he didn't mind. He knows that coffee with truvia is
much better than complaining about it and having it poured on his head.
I can't wait to finish my computer chores and get in the studio! I
have three new great ideas for Blue Ridge paintings. It will be great
to get back to oils, my favorite medium. I have to scrape the palette
and then I can get started! Yes!

is a new commercial about sleep that I have noticed a lot but Clyde
saw it for the first time yesterday. Some guy is trying to sell the
world's greatest pillow and he is a member of the National Sleep
Of course, Clyde had some
comments for that one. Is he a member of the National Sleep Foundation
so he can sell the pillow? When they have meetings at the National
Sleep Foundation does everyone come to take a nap?
I'll never know. When I can't sleep I stare at the ceiling and after a while I fall asleep. My pillow is fine.
We had a great time at The Peaks of Otter! The last time we were
there we took the bus up to Sharp Top and walked down. I don't remember
the quarter mile trek mostly up stone stairs to get to the top after
the bus drops you off! That was not easy for me in spite of all the
exercise I get and the yoga I do every day. My pulse was racing.
mountain man husband and son zipped on up without any problem. Oh
well, it was great and the lunch at the lodge was perfect. I think they
must make their own bread. The bun for my chicken sandwich was

super happy with my new mouse! Once in a while the pointer is in the
shade and I think the signal is lost! Oh no! I can't bear to have
Zippy the Wonder Mouse acting like the old rat. So far, I am always
wrong and Zippy is connected and clicking away! Oh yes!
is at his usual word play and he doesn't know if anyone else has come
up with this one but I am going to print it anyway in anticipation of

am so pleased with our new mouse! It zooms all over the screen,
clicking everything in sight and it works for half the pay of the old
one - just one battery! Also, so far it has not lost the signal once!
told Clyde I am going to name it Zippy the Wonder Mouse. He said that
was a good name since it is a wonder that it works. The old rat
That's for sure! So glad we chucked that
one! Actually, we still have it. Where is the recycle burial ground
for computer mice?
I am so pleased that another print of Reaching Out was sold to a
great Nevada patron! My best seller really gets around. I can now add
another state to my sales. I now have artwork in 27 states and six
countries! Yea! My work marches on.
Reaching Out can still be
seen on The Mindy Project on Hulu! The show ran for three seasons on
Foxtv. The print is located across from Mindy's desk in her office.
Reaching Out Original 24" x 18" Charcoal Drawing $20,000
I am so pleased a great Presbyterian group licensed one of my
paintings for an issue of their magazine! I will certainly get a copy.
After all the time I have spent trying to get compensation for all the
theft of my work it is great to be asked and paid for the use of my
work. I find image thieves practically every day and most of them are
beyond the reach of my lawyers.
Alan on the Couch
will be in the Horizons Nov/Dec issue in an article called "Extra
Adults" in the department "Stories from the Ages", an intergenerational
look at faith.

new addition to our computer family has arrived! What a great little
mouse. I can't believe we put up with that lazy rat that kept losing
connection and moved like a snail. We really should have chucked it out
the window a long time ago.
The new one is black with a red top
like some sort of racing car. It zooms around the screen, never loses
signal and has a right click. Clyde said it is one that can travel so I
guess we have to buy it a little suit case. If I could feed it
computer cheese once in a while, I would!
I am not a great sleeper. Never have been, but last night was
awful. Not much sleep at all. I finally gave up at 5:30 and just got
up. Oh well. I always have lots to do but today is especially
loaded with computer and art chores so I wish I had slept. Time to
quit griping and get to work.
I really should not be
complaining. I shipped Cloud Color to a great New York patron and last
night she purchased Rolling Autumn! I hope to get that one out
tomorrow. Great to get more and more of my work out to the public.
am still hunched over a laptop and not happy about it. Clyde is going
to get a new mouse today. He is going to see if he can get one that
attaches to the computer. The wireless one has been a real pain in the
neck. Do people still use that expression? It has been losing the
signal since we got it. It just doesn't like to stay connected.
want a new rat that can be tethered. I came so close to hurling the
other one right out the window. The computer is too big to throw out
the window so I make sure there isn't a hammer in the closet. I keep my
hammers on the other side of the house. It is safer that way.
