I tried something different this time with my latest Suggestion painting that I filmed and will present on Monday. I had been covering the surface quickly with a large brush and then spending more time on the second stage after I dried the first stage. This time I wanted to have more complicate systems of color like my main work so I used a small brush and took more time on the first stage. A nebulous, and I mean nebulous butterfly seemed to show up so that is what I went with.
The contrast between the butterfly and the background is not strong, so in the third stage I will separate the two and make it even more complicated. Love to work with color! More than anything else, my work is about color regardless of the level of abstraction. Looking forward to finishing the painting and I will have a link to the finished work here and in the description on the Youtube!
I am up to 191 followers now and hope to greatly increase that number! Cheers on a Saturday!

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
A long time ago I thought it would be a good idea to buy a small house so we wouldn't fill it up with stuff that we have to get rid of. Well, that didn't work. I have spent years moving things out and we really need more room for all of Clyde's records.
A lot of his research needs to be in paper form rather than on a computer so, instead of scaling down, we will be scaling up.
Last night when I made the very short trip from the kitchen to the other end of the house to find my glasses and other things, I thought about what it would be like in a big house.
I told Clyde I had better sharpen up before we move.
Well, if you get too sharp you might throw me out.
No, you and all your stuff gets to stay.
That's a relief.

Wow! Today at the Grocery store I saw something I never thought I would see again! Someone was underneath his car working on it! I said to what appeared to be his wife I was amazed and didn't think anyone knew how to work on a car anymore. She smiled and said, he can! She looked very proud. I don't blame her. Everything is so complicated today that we need all kinds of help for just about everything we depend on.
I have no idea how to fix a computer, T.V.,refrigerator, car, etc. The computer takeover has made it especially difficult for a lot of us. As I have said before, if they ever computerize a bathroom, I will have to get an out house!
Anyway, still working hard on some Suggestion paintings, youtubes, and a new Blue Ridge Parkway painting of the James River! I think I am taking the, I live to paint statement, to new heights or lows depending on how well my feet hold out!

I had visions of getting to the lake today and then my foot with either tendinitis or Achilles Bursitis started acting up. Oh well, I am going to relax and watch a movie. Not just part of it, all of it! That will be fun!

Racing with the clock again! So much to do. I can't imagine having a lot of time to just goof off and watch TV. I watch a little TV for breaks but not much. I love movies! So glad they can be paused so I can watch them over days.
Anyway, I am going to start another Blue Ridge painting and shoot another Suggestions painting video today and tomorrow. I am going to videotape the Blue Ridge painting and see if I can combine many videos of it for a timelapse one. That will be way in the future but the Suggestions one will be up soon!

Who shot Monday out of a cannon! I can't believe how little I got done today so now I have to do it now. Well, what happened was I escaped and went shopping for shoes at the mall. The only shoe store Radford had closed so now I have to travel to Christiansburg.
I hate to shop but it was great to get out and the store had a terrific sale! I got new sneakers and two pairs of dress shoes! Yes! I was in and out of there so fast I had time to go get a new blouse!
