Please check out my latest video!  I was in the mood for a Center of my Mind Painting!

 

I am just about finished with the second painting commission and it is turning out really well!  As I said, these are paintings on glass so the process has been quite different from my usual work.  I always paint in layers but  colors do not  resist on the canvas the way some are resisting on the glass. 

I painted on metal one time and had the same problem but eventually was able to completely cover the surface with many layers of tempera paint.  These glass paintings are enamel acrylic which is the best paint to use on glass. 

The originals paintings that lost of lot of the paint had to be done in oils since acrylics only date back to the fifties. 

Anyway, I think I should be done with the second one tomorrow and I thought I would again show the first one here. 

It certainly is a stylized painting with strong color fields!
