I am very pleased with my latest painting of Claytor Lake and I am considering painting more of this great park.  This is only the second painting I have done of one my favorite places in Southwest Virginia.  This one is so close to exactly what I was after which is a nice experience, but I do have plans for a slightly different approach to my next one.  Always learning, always improving. 

As I have said over and over again it would be boring if I had a set way of painting that never changed.  My opinion.  I do think there are artists that do not change their methods and there is nothing wrong with that. 

I have to keep on progressing even though I'll bet a lot of people don't see that much difference, but I do, and it is an exciting process!
