We waited for some torrential rains but it looks like it did not happen here. Roanoke had some severe flooding but we just got wet. The people on the coast did not have to evacuate their homes but North Carolina sure got pummeled. Love the beach but definitely do not want to live there!
I made a mistake in my last blog on the Specials. They ended Thursday, not Friday. Senior moment. I looked up a chart that compares Alzheimers symptoms with regular old age symptoms and so far I am still on the right side of the chart. I am reading at night to try keep my mind together and I know playing the piano helps. I really need to get back to reading Spanish novels. You have to stay sharp to keep up a foreign language. I have forgotten some words and some grammar so I had better get back to it before I can only say hola. Our library has next to nothing in Spanish. I guess I need to see what I can get on Interlibrary loan.
Anyway, I am hanging in there and painting away! Here is the final stage of Pawleys Island Atmosphere!

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
Last time I wrote about the different times that Clyde and I go to bed due to our schedules. He is in bed at 9 so he can get up at 4. I stay up to 11:30 and get up at 7:30. Funny thing. Every night at 9 I have an overwhelming desire to go to sleep and then I start to wake up .
I told Clyde that the reason my body wants to go to sleep at 9 is because we are soul mates. He gagged and said we were more like a ship wreck without a ship.
Ha ha! I love to goad him. Wait, did he really say our marriage is like a ship wreck? Oh well. I asked for it. LOL!
