The
guys are out of the house for a while so it is very quiet and I am
determined to get my computer work done so I can paint. I spent thirty
minutes with internet service people trying to get messenger back on
Facebook. I did it this time without any cussing or a desire to throw
the computer out the window!
You really can teach old dogs new
tricks but I still don't want to learn how to create digital paintings.

Well,
I am starting off the New Year with our very old computer. My printer
has a mind of its own. I printed out a photograph with no problem and
then when I tried to print out a very short text document it just
printed out a blank piece of paper.
Clyde said if it could talk, it would say that's all for 2017. Happy New Year!

Way
to much to to today and I have a meeting with my son's supervisors at
2:00. Yikes! Today should be a slightly lazy day since the guys are
back at work and I have the house to myself. I never stop but I was
looking forward to taking a little time off to stare at the snow. I
just looked out the window, so that's it. Back to work. Cheers!

I have mentioned before, I like to think the reason our computer room
is a disaster with all of Clyde's archives is because he is a genius. I
read somewhere that geniuses are in to so many things they can't
possibly keep it all organized.
Okay, let's go with that. I
call it Mount Clydemore and every once in a while it erupts! Clyde has
been working hard the last few days to try to straighten it out. Good
luck!
Anyway, there was an hilarious joke on Twitter that we both got a big kick out of.
God gives his biggest battles to his greatest soldiers.
He must have me confused with Rambo.

Fourth
day of the new year and we are working on an insurance claim for our
wind damaged roof. Our heating system was making a funny noise last
night. I hope we won't be calling about that.
The noise happened a
while back and I called for help and, of course, there was no noise when
the repairman arrived, just the aggravation of paying him to come and
check so this time I am waiting for it to actually break before I call.
Here's hoping that does not happen. The roof problem is enough!

Insurance
is always a hit or miss thing as we all know. We are in the process of
trying to get our Homeowners Insurance to pay for the wind damage on
our roof. The roof needs to be replaced. I hope we can get them to
come through after all these years of paying them but I have a feeling
they will claim it is just wear and tear over the years.
Clyde
had a great comment on this situation. They will probably claim they
have proof we are squatters and don't even own the home. Love it! Just
a joke. No offense to insurance agents.

One
more day to work on my end of the year resolution and I probably won't
make it. I got the easy half done but going through my two huge file
folders and making all those decisions on what we absolutely have to
keep and what we can trash is not going to happen in 2016. On well, I
got closer to keeping my end of the year resolution than any New Years
resolutions I have made in the past. I think I will try this again at
the end of 2017.

trying to write something. He plays the guitar very well and has
written some music, but, for some reason, he can't sing. He isn't tone

Lots
to do today! I don't make News Years Resolutions but I decided, just
this once, to make an End of the Year resolution. I am way behind in my
paper work so I am trying to get that done before 2017. I made Clyde a
committee of one to handle one part of it that we need some kind of
bookkeeping book for. He is much better at buying things than I am.
Here's to the 31st and may the clerical force be with us!

like to publish my blog in the morning but the day didn't just get away
from me. It rocketed right out the door and has probably landed in the

I
like to wear decent clothes when I leave the house so I have to change a
lot. As soon as I get home I take off the jewelry and put on clothes
that Good Will would probably hand back to me.
The other day as I
was changing back into my house uniform Clyde was lying on the bed in
his usual stained t-shirt and baggy pants that are either pjs or just
look like pjs.
I told him that just because he wears his Sunday best around the house doesn't mean I have to.
You can imagine the look he gave me. Sometimes you don't need pictures.

I am real happy with my latest Blue Ridge Parkway paintings!
Painting is always a crap shoot as I have mentioned before. We think we
know what we are doing but it is always a mysterious process that
incorporates what we are aiming for and what happens along the way.
My
last three have been quite a ride and I am almost done. I will
probably paint one more Parkway painting before getting back to some
skylines and abstracts.

I
am staying out of the conversations about the result of the election
but I am saddened by what is going on. People know right from wrong but
many are using the election as an excuse to do wrong things.
I
saw a comment on Linkedin that could apply to either candidate so I
won't get into trouble if I discuss it here. The member said one of
the candidates left a rich lifestyle to help this country while the
media has told nothing but lies about this candidate.
Clyde's
response was that any person that believed that must be living in a hole
with a computer that does not have access to news sites.
I
would have to agree. I have seen a lot of documentation in the media
that looks and sounds pretty iron clad to me regarding the faults of
both candidates.
Just saw a cute computer joke. Caution. This machine has no brain. Use your own.
I
mentioned that to Clyde and he said well that makes two brainless
things in the computer room. Is he talking about me or him or both?

hate it when the computer is acting up. I don't back all the desk
top stuff on CDs like I should so now I can't get a lot of my work
done. The mouse is being a real rat. I hope we can either fix it or
buy a new one that won't be hurled out of the window. Meanwhile I am
hunched over a laptop. I will have to endure this position or move it.
I think it will be moving soon.

Well,
we have a new computer problem What else is new? Now the mouse will
move and the pointer is there but it won't click on anything.
Clyde
tried a few things last night and I am trying some things today. I
hate working on a laptop so I hope we can figure out what is going on.
I searched on Google for others with this problem and tried their solutions. Nothing happened.
I
called Clyde to complain and he said when he comes home and sees a sick
cat wandering around or broken computer parts all over the lawn he will
know I solved the problem.
I am not going to put catnip on the
mouse and feed it to one of the strays that is stinking up my bushes,
but there may be broken parts all over the lawn.
My back hurts.
