I spend so much time on the computer that Clyde said I need to get a t-shirt that says Computer Slave. I think he is right. I did a lot of work last night so I wouldn't have to do so much today but there is always a computer chore in my future. I can't get ahead but I do sneak away sometimes. It is beautiful outside so I will get out today. Here is a great free clip art joke about those of us that live on a computer. Love it!

I know my camera has some years on it but why can't I put the name and number in Google and get instructions that I can use. I look up something I need help with and when I follow the instructions the selection that I need in the menu is not there. Are cameras updated without changing the precise name of it? I get so frustrated with all this stuff.
I still use Aperture because I finally figured it out and now I am told it is on the way out so if I do have a question it is almost impossible to find the answer. Youtube no longer has the stabilization feature or the color adjustment feature so now my videos will have a slight shake and the colors will be washed out.
It seems to me I should be able to make those adjustments with my camera but I can't figure it out. I will check the instruction manual that I got with the camera and hope I can find the answer there.
Of course, I have to find the manual. ARGH!

We are still swatting mosquitoes. The other night while Spock was trying to destroy a weird creature in a shuttle craft Clyde worked hard to kill a mosquito in our bedroom. I was the scout that kept losing it in the shadows and he was the warrior with the fly swatter.
Finally it landed where I could see it on a door and Clyde got it. We cheered and Clyde went to bed while I did some computer work.
It was going okay when I noticed something in my hair. Of course, it was another mosquito. I lunged at it as it flew away and then disappeared. Later, I was reading a book in the living room and one flew right by me.
I told Clyde the next day it must be a family of them all working together to get us. Yeah, a SUCKY family. I would say argh, but I love puns!
Saw a cute joke about a parent mosquito asking a young mosquito how his first flight went. Great! Everyone was clapping for me!

I am more than halfway through my new website on Wix! What a lot of work. I am one prolific artist and when it is done there will be a little over 400 originals available for purchase. I have been painting for more years then I care to admit and have sold a lot of work.
At this point I have originals and prints in 31 states and 6 countries other than the US. A lot of artists throw away the ones they don't sell but I can't do that. I have worked too hard to discard any of them. They are like children that I am determined to find homes for. Not all of them are framed.
When someone requests one of those I either get them framed or they have them framed. Some of mine are professionally framed but most of them are in good but inexpensive frames that patrons either keep the work in or have the work framed to suit their needs.

Almost the end of September and we are still getting mosquito bites. I don't know how they are getting in but this morning one was hovering above me and I lunged for it. Of course it got away and Clyde spent some time chasing it in the computer room but lost sight of it.
Saw a cute joke about mosquitoes on the net. A vegetarian mosquito is attacking an orange. The caption is This blood orange really sucks.
I don't think there are any vegetarian mosquitoes around here, just big time blood suckers. I wish I had counted all the bites I had gotten the past few summers. I'll bet this summer was a record number.
Wow! Those ones I got on my hand last night really itch.

I am real pleased to get back to some Suggestions paintings! They are quite a trip. In these paintings I paint in an Abstract Expressionist manner and then look for some forms to pull out. This time it looked like balloons swirling around. Here is the first stage which may be the last stage. I don't have it up for print sales due to some problems with the site that sells my prints. I keep getting an error message when I try to add something to my portfolio. I hope they fix that soon.

Time once again to add a post to the Ant Chronicles. I have a new strategy for getting rid of them. I am cleaning their paths over and over again with ammonia hoping that will asphyxiate them or at least make them think twice about congregating in our kitchen. The ant traps don't work. It sure takes a while to find all their meeting places.
This time they set up a motel in an enclosed plastic mouse trap that did not have any bait. It is funny how you see one or two and then zillions.
Clyde says they probably have cell phones they use as soon as they see a crumb. Last year he said they get on a horn for a shout out but he thinks they have updated their methods by now.

Paint is still drying on my enlargement of Wading. Some oil paints are dyes and they take forever! Staring at it doesn't hurry the process. I wish it did. Oh well that's art for you. Time to get back to some other paintings.

This morning I spent a full hour at a car dealership waiting to find out why my check engine light is on a car we bought in July 2016. When I got home I told Clyde he would never guess in a million years why that light was on.
The gas cap was loose.
How did you know?
It is in the manual.
Then why didn't you check?
Don't know.
Okay, do you have a funny for my blog?
You are looking at one.
Not after wasting my time at the dealership.
Okay, nothing today.

Clyde was complaining about how much he has to wear to be able to sleep these days now that he lost his layer of fat.
Where did you put your fat?
I don't know.
You hauled it off somewhere and now I have to wear pjs and sleep under a pile of blankets.

Well 2017 was the year of Spend That Money with a new roof, new car, and new heating system. The cost for the heating system is going into this year and I think our new car had a talk with our old car and told it to drop dead. It broke down yesterday and the repair cost is quite high. Hope we don't have to bury it and get a new one.

Yesterday I was trying to goad Clyde into making one of his weird comments and he did not disappoint me. Since he is a bird expert I asked him why do people get crows feet? He said when people are drunk a drunk crow lands on their face and walks around. Now that is a weird one! I am watching crows very closely now and glad I don't drink.

Now that the windows are open, the dogs are barking more and more and louder and louder.
I have done a lot of paintings to the sound of barking dogs.
One of our neighbors always manages to get a dog that barks continuously and monotonously. It really jangles my nerves.
I saw a cute picture of a dog with the caption - If you wanted that stick, why did you throw it?
I told that one to Clyde and he added- If you want me to get it you will receive my bill. Why don't you go fetch something on Facebook? Love it!
We had a dog that would not play fetch.
I don't blame her.
