I am not a great sleeper. Never have been, but last night was
awful. Not much sleep at all. I finally gave up at 5:30 and just got
up. Oh well. I always have lots to do but today is especially
loaded with computer and art chores so I wish I had slept. Time to
quit griping and get to work.
I really should not be
complaining. I shipped Cloud Color to a great New York patron and last
night she purchased Rolling Autumn! I hope to get that one out
tomorrow. Great to get more and more of my work out to the public.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
I
am still hunched over a laptop and not happy about it. Clyde is going
to get a new mouse today. He is going to see if he can get one that
attaches to the computer. The wireless one has been a real pain in the
neck. Do people still use that expression? It has been losing the
signal since we got it. It just doesn't like to stay connected.
I
want a new rat that can be tethered. I came so close to hurling the
other one right out the window. The computer is too big to throw out
the window so I make sure there isn't a hammer in the closet. I keep my
hammers on the other side of the house. It is safer that way.

hate it when the computer is acting up. I don't back all the desk
top stuff on CDs like I should so now I can't get a lot of my work
done. The mouse is being a real rat. I hope we can either fix it or
buy a new one that won't be hurled out of the window. Meanwhile I am
hunched over a laptop. I will have to endure this position or move it.
I think it will be moving soon.

Well,
we have a new computer problem What else is new? Now the mouse will
move and the pointer is there but it won't click on anything.
Clyde
tried a few things last night and I am trying some things today. I
hate working on a laptop so I hope we can figure out what is going on.
I searched on Google for others with this problem and tried their solutions. Nothing happened.
I
called Clyde to complain and he said when he comes home and sees a sick
cat wandering around or broken computer parts all over the lawn he will
know I solved the problem.
I am not going to put catnip on the
mouse and feed it to one of the strays that is stinking up my bushes,
but there may be broken parts all over the lawn.
My back hurts.

What a week! I am really doing the Friday dance which is kind of
silly for me since I am a workaholic and don't quit on the weekends. Oh
well, it is the thought that counts! Anyway, I got all the
illustrations for Fiddling at Midnight's Farmhouse done and just mailed
another Blue Ridge painting to a lady in California.
The
painting was purchased by a great patron in Washington for her friend!
Crates for paintings really take some time to make but I got it done in
addition to the illustrations and tons of computer work. Big pat for my
back!

Clyde
reads all the time. I read, paint, play the piano, and am reasonably
fluent in Spanish, so what's up with all of our senior moments?
You
know you are having too many of them when you yell at yourself that you
have to turn on the oven if you want it to cook something.
That happened to me today. Yikes!

I
am excited about all the ideas for paintings I got at the shore and
hope to begin one today. Of course, I still want to work on skylines,
expressive portraits of famous people, and a new family portrait. Where
is that Time Fairy? Maybe she can add more hours to the day and clean
up my studio with a wave of her wand! Now that would be great!

Clyde
is not on Facebook and he does not have a website but if you put his
name in Google you will see page after page of listings regarding his
publications and naturalist activities. He doesn't want to be on social
websites or start his own but he may have to soon.
He thinks that one day Facebook and Google will merge and it will be called Google Face. I doubt that.

I
finished the first stage of Beethoven Energy and hope to get to the
second today. I am determined to express my feelings about this music
in every brushstroke. I hope it will be an exciting interpretation of a
great musician. The colors are going to fly!

As
I have said before, I love movies and order all kinds on Netflix. I
especially like documentaries and was enthralled with The Wolf Pack.
I also like to consider films Clyde might like and oftentimes I get a winner for him.
The other day I told him I had a wild movie he would like. Before I could say it was a wilderness documentary he said,
Six monkeys shoot each other and try to blame it on Tarzan? Let's see him swing his way out of this one.
What a crazy mind. Love it!

I
am real excited about my new painting! Since I love music so much I
have decided to paint some of my heroes. I already have one of David
Garrett but I can not offer it or prints of it for sale. I can offer
paintings of musicians from long ago for sale so that is another project
I want to work on.
I am starting with a
portrait of Beethoven and I intend to make it very expressive and upload
it in my Stages of my Artwork gallery and my Kendall Expressions
gallery. As soon as I get off the computer I will get it started

I
don't have anything from The Word Man today. He hasn't been feeling
well lately. We think he is having allergy problems. I think he should
get tested to see what is bugging him. He is dragging his sinuses- I
mean feet.
Anyway, there was a great joke
on Facebook yesterday. I love chocolate and so does Clyde so I hope
this doesn't happen to us someday.
A guy is
sitting in an arm chair trying to change channels with a remote when his
wife comes in and tells him it isn't the remote, it is a bar of
chocolate. Yikes! The fun of aging!

I
am having a problem with the gear shift in my old car. I had to travel
a little further than usual and didn't have any trouble with it so, of
course, I forgot about the problem and made two stops I didn't need to
make on the way home. It was fine at the first stop but acted up at the
second stop.
It took a while, but finally I
was able to shift into drive. As my Dad always said, "Pay attention". I
am such a drifter off type of person. Anyway, I am home safe and
sound.

Clyde
likes to listen to Blues music. Oftentimes he will listen to a station
that just has the music with some background on the artists.
I
brush and floss my teeth all day long. That is, of course, an
exaggeration but when my dental hygienist said I had heavy build up even
though I brushed three times a day and flossed at night I decided to
work harder at keeping my teeth clean. I even have a kit in my purse.
I told Clyde I should write a Teeth Brushing Blues song. He had a good idea for lyrics.
I
am so blue. I brush my teeth all day long. I am running out of floss,
my fingers are tired, and my teeth and gums are now blue, too!
