Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

I have fought a skin condition on my torso for decades.  Some people develop a type of brown mold that is extremely hard to get rid of.  I went to the Dermatalogist many times and took a medicine that did not work and pretty much gave up.  Then I discovered if I use over the counter  tinactin I could get rid of it temporarily.  It would go away for a while and then come back. 

Well a few weeks ago I decided that I was going to try real hard to get rid of it by not missing an application morning or night and keep it up until it was completely gone.  I think I finally go rid of it.

I told Clyde it took thirty years but I finally got rid of that nuisance! 

Uh oh.  I'm next.   

There's some birds and insects out there you haven't seen today. 

I'm on my way.

We all got out and walked yesterday!  Yes!   Wildwood Park is so beautiful and the weather here right now is perfect.  Not too hot.  Just right. 

I want to finish another Skyline Beauty painting and then I want to get back to at least one Suggestion painting where I just fling the paint around until something shows up. 

Then I help it along with my own interpretation.  I have a lot of those in my Suggestions folder on my website but it has been a while so I will go that direction before I decide on another famous portrait.

Clyde seems to be over his awful cold.  He didn't attempt to break the sound barrier last night and we went for a walk in Wildwood Park.  As I have mentioned before the beginning of the path is next to a sharp drop off and Clyde always walks right next to it.

As usual, I aggravated him by telling him not to walk so close to the edge.  He said, "Why don't you tie a rope around me and drag me along like a puppy?

Okay, we acrophobiacs are irritating but I wouldn't do that.  Or would I?

I finished the second stage of Beethoven Energy and am not sure whether there will be a third. I did not intend to give the portrait  a nebulous look but I like the way it has turned out.  I may just touch this one up and have two stages in my Stages of my Art Gallery.  

I may even paint another one with a completely different approach to contrast and color.  That is what I love about painting.  If I knew exactly what I was doing, I wouldn't do it.

It would be boring.

Once in a while things show up in our carpet that should not show up there.  The other night Clyde found a rock in our bed room carpet.  I said I didn't think we had rocks in the carpet. I think I may have some in my head.  He said one of them must have fallen out.  Wrong comment, dear.  Who is cooking supper tonight?

As I have said before, I love movies and order all kinds on Netflix.  I especially like documentaries and was enthralled with The Wolf Pack.

I also like to consider films Clyde might like and oftentimes I get a winner for him.

The other day I told him I had a wild movie he would like.  Before I could say it was a wilderness documentary he said,

Six monkeys shoot each other and try to blame it on Tarzan?  Let's see him swing his way out of this one.

What a crazy mind.  Love it!

If you don't like to swim laps because it is boring, swim the breast stroke with a friend!  It is amazing how fast those laps are done when you are yakking away the time!  I did that yesterday and it was great!

Last Wednesday I was watching TV in the living room when I saw a rather large object coming down the hall way.  It was too big to be an insect so I knew it had to be a mouse.  When I approached it, it ran into a closet.  I told Clyde and he said once you have a mouse in the house, you usually have more.  They are hard to get rid of.

This is our third mouse.  Clyde got out the mouse traps and had forgotten how to set them.  I am always griping about computers but they certainly can be a big help.  He looked up the brand and there was a video on how to set them.  He went into the the kitchen and yelled to me that if I heard a scream, then he did it wrong.

No scream!  Yes!  I hope we catch the little stinker.  May all your homes be mouse free!

 

The mouse trap cartoon is from an ad for pest removal.  I doubt that they will mind that I used it here since I am including the link to their business.

I am real pleased with my latest Skyline Beauty painting of Richmond!  I was going to just have one layer in my portfolio as I was happy with the loose brushwork and spontaneity of the start but now I am using some very complicated small brushwork on it so I will include this work in my Stages of my Art gallery.  Here is the first layer!

Life with The Bird and Word Man - Clyde Kessler

That female cardinal is either going to get rid of the hussy in the window or die trying.  The first thing I do in the morning is practice my piano music for a half and hour.  I don't have time to practice more.  I wish I did.

Since the cardinal is now trying to scare her image away that obviously moved to the living room window after Clyde papered the computer room window, she is adding a beat that I don't want.  I have always found timing to be a little difficult and would prefer a conductor but this is ridiculous.  She is not keeping time at all! 

I have a metronome but I am not a robot so that doesn't help either. I change the tempo to suit my expression.  I don't want the cardinal to pummel itself to death, but I wish it would give up.

Oh well, The Bird Man wanted me to announce a rather rare siting today - A Forsters Tern was spotted in Radford, VA this morning.
