Trying
to get a few more illustrations done for Fiddling at Midnight's
Farmhouse but I really am getting tired and a little low on ideas. I
will check out some more poems today and hopefully get one done today
and one tomorrow. I will be glad to get back to my Skyline paintings,
Kendall Expressions, and my main work of this beautiful area.

When
I started this blog I really didn't know what to say other than stuff
about my artwork which is difficult. I communicate through pictures,
not words. After a while I just wanted to have some humur so I started
this section of the blog. I thought I would probably burn out and stop
trying for funny stuff even though Clyde supplies me with a lot of it
without trying. It is just the way he is.
I am pleased that I
keep coming up with funnies here. Sometimes I do borrow from other
sources but I still keep this section going and I think as long as I
have a blog I will keep on laughing as I write.
To cease to learn is to cease to live. Well, to cease to laugh is also to cease to live!
In honor of my main contributor to this section here are some great bird jokes.
What did the chicken say to the duck when it was about to cross the road?
Don't do it. You will never hear the end of it.
What did one bird with binoculars watching people say to the other bird.
It is a legitimate hobby.
What did the Blue Footed Booby say to his friend about his feet?
Yeah, I wanted black but this is the only color they had that fit.

Got to get to Clyde's manuscript so I can work on some
individual poem illustrations this week. These will be black and white
but I will make them as expressive as the cover. I still have a little
to do on the cover. Also, got to get a painting mailed and a lot of
computer work. Busy, busy, busy.

I
love my Yoga class! I am so glad I took up this great muscle
stretcher. A few years ago I couldn't touch my toes without bending my
knees. I can now!
I have noticed that my
legs look somewhat different since I started Yoga. The calf muscle
that was getting small again after my Skating Rink closed is getting
big again!
This is crazy but my feet look
different. I mentioned to Clyde that they look longer. He said all the
better to kick his butt. I don't have to reach as much.
I
do not kick Clyde's butt. Not once. Hardly ever. Recognize that WC
Fields routine? If you haven't seen one of his films, check one out!

that monkey really gets on my nerves.
I
don't know if it is my computer or the site but it seems to stall in
certain places so I think I am doing something wrong. I am learning to
just wait and that monkey will stop throwing coconuts at me and come
down from the tree and help me out.

Clyde
has wanted me to hear the song of a white eyed vireo and yesterday
there was one chirping away in Wildwood Park. This bird takes notes
from other birds and combines them into a song that sounds like, "Quick,
give me the beer check." The song irritates the other birds.
I told Clyde
I knew why it is saying "Quick, give me the beer check." One of the
loudest most repetitive birds in that park is the towhee which says over
and over again, "Drink your tea." I think hearing that all day long
would make any bird want to say "Quick, give me the beer check." I
surprised it doesn't add, "I'm out of here."

upcoming presidential election really has me worried. I am concerned,
as always, that money is deciding the race for nomination. Here is a
cartoon from 1870 that certainly applies to 2016. As I have mentioned
before, Clyde always says to hold your nose and vote. Unless things
change soon I will need a space suit this time.

We
had a great time at the movies watching Angry Birds! Clyde didn't like
the preview he saw so he was pleasantly surprised. It was hilarious!

I
am having more trouble with my old car that may or may not be a
problem. I keep hearing a strange noise that sounds like some sort of
plank that is trying to fall out of the bottom. It mostly happens when I
back the car in or out of our driveway.
I
have started driving Clyde to our park walks to see if he can figure out
what it is. Of course, there is no sound when he is in the car.
He said maybe his big butt is applying so much weight to the car that the sound is being squished.
Clyde does not have a big butt.

What
a computer Monday! One thing after the next. My copy paste would only
copy paste part of the text and then I had an awful time getting my
keyboard going with new batteries. As usual, it was a stupid think I
didn't know. Clyde usually replaces batteries. Anyway, I got to finish
Green Meadow Mist so why am I complaining?

Not
sure but I may have mentioned that my mother always said to drive
defensively. I think that was good advice but these days Clyde and I
think the saying should be Drive to stay Alive!
Our
recent trip to the shore was so congested with traffic I was quite
worried we would be in some sort of accident. Who was the fool that
raised the speed limit to 70? If you think people should drive 70mph
then the speed limit should be 50mph.
I know I saw some driving at 90mph, zipping back and forth in the lanes.
I
know I have mentioned this before but I really think I would like the
bumper sticker that says, "I slow down for tail gators". I would swear I
had one car about an inch away from mine on the interstate.
