I am really getting into wildflowers right now and looking forward to tomorrow when I can get to the second stage of my latest one! The one in the video is of wildflowers in beautiful Wildwood Park, Radford, Va.
My latest one is not a specific place, it is based on wildflower fields I have seen with my own improvisation. I truly understand what Edward Hopper said one time, "I am best when I improvise." Artists build up so many images in their minds and it is great when they come out on canvas.
Sometimes I like to stick closely to what I see and other times I like to elaborate on what I see and sometimes there are no recognizable shapes - music without words.
Anyway, lots of computer work to do so I better get busy. Again, I have included a link to a painting on face masks!

Clyde is on our church council and they are having Zoom meetings online about possibly having services again. People will be required to wear masks and maintain a safe distance.
It is a small congregation so that should not be a problem. Clyde told me about their thoughts on the matter after the meeting was over.
Well, I guess we can't have coffee and snacks after the service.
Uh oh. That's the end of the church.
Ha ha. I think we can manage a service without coffee afterwards.
You never know. LOL!

What a beautiful Mother's Day! My son bought me a box of candy. Gee, I wonder how he thought of that for a present? Could it be that I always have a bag of Russel Stovers pecan delights on the top of my fridge? Or could it be I am never out of fun size peanut M & M's?
He probably noticed over the years that I sort of have a sweet tooth. What an understatement! I will never forget one time when he was a toddler and I sat down for a second to inhale a fun size snickers bar. He stood right in front of me and proudly grabbed the paper and put in the trash can.
Anyway, I hope all the mothers out there have a great day! The sun is shining here. I am selling some face masks so I have again included a link for Winding Magenta.

Well, Clyde gave me the perfect gift! We have been worried about the lack of toilet paper since we are getting to our last rolls.
Then he remembered that this great small store and fast food restaurant nearby had single rolls in the past available.
He brought home a bag of stuff and then said he bought me a great gift.
I looked in the bag and saw a roll of toilet paper!
Wow! You are the greatest husband ever!

Such a beautiful day! Lots of people outside having some fun. We took a great walk and plugged carpenter bee holes in our roof. The bees flew around and I don't think I would like to hear what they had to say if they could talk.
They look just like bumblebees but they don't sting, just cuss out people that mess up their homes. They prefer to make these hole homes in dead wood, so, of course, they like our roof over the trees. I guess they are just going to have to get used to homes with a little sap here and there.
So much to do on the internet. I had better get busy. Cheers!

My mother passed away over a year ago and I miss her very much. She and I had a lot in common. There were certain things she did that I didn't think I would do but I think I am turning into my Mom. I have heard that happens a lot.
She froze everything and I have started doing that. I make desserts that Clyde can't eat and I don't want them to spoil before I finish them so I freeze half.
My Dad thought Mom over did the freezer thing. He would often say if he was ever missing, look in the freezer. Ha ha.
I told Clyde I thought I was turning into Mom.
Don't buy a big freezer.
That's probably a good idea. LOL!

I was so pleased to see one minister's great solution to holding services with his congregation! He got on the roof of the church and the parishioners were in their cars! What a smart guy! I wish all congregations that were determined to meet together would follow his example.
We need to keep our distance right now. Also, nothing wrong with online services. I have been playing the piano at our church for years and will be happy to play again but it is nice to have a break. There are over 800 hymns and I certainly don't know them all.

As I have mentioned before, Clyde has a weird disease that prevents him from eating a lot of foods in all food groups except meat. He was in the habit of picking up a number of items at a specialty store but stopped that when this awful virus took over.
One of the things he can't eat is flour so we get special kinds of noodles for spaghetti. We ran out yesterday and he asked for potatoes as a side dish substitute. Our order in the mail still hasn't arrived.
When dinner was ready I had to tease him a little.
Okay, man without a noodle, dinner is served.
Are you saying I am a man without a noodle that is going to eat the whole kitten kaboodle?
Right. Why did I marry a writer? Enjoy your potato spaghetti!

My studio is finally getting cleaned up. Now that I am not getting out very much, the mess in this house and studio is staring me right in the face and I don't have an excuse to ignore it. I am able to get to my painting, music, and computer chores and still have time to clean up. I don't know how many layers of dust have accumulated but those layers are bothering me now.
You would think someone that is allergic to dust and mold would take better care of a house. Well, when I only have time to paint or clean, guess which activity wins out? I don't like this quarantine any better than anyone else, but it does have this one advantage.

As always, Clyde gets up very early to check out wildlife around Radford. I doubt there are many people that do that on a regular basis or at all. He is quite the dedicated naturalist.
You get up at the creak of dawn!
Yes, and I creak around and then creak right on out of here.
Just remember, don't talk to the otters. Remember the time you did that and they started to come after you. You must have said something nasty about their mother in otter talk.
