In a few days I am going to take a break from blogging and
just put up some of my Youtubes. My fingers are tied in knots with all
the typing I do on various sites. I need to get out of this room and
see the world, or at least the neighborhood beyond this one.
Lots
of loud music on this street. I hate to shop, but in stores I don't
have to hear music that would make a lion run for cover.
Anyway, I and The Word Man will be back in a few days but you still get to see my promotions. Can't let up.

I saw a cute funny on the internet about phones. They really do seem to be attached to people's hands these days.
Anyway, it is a good thing that not everyone is staring at their phone. Someone has to honk when the light turns green.

I don't have a lot to say today. I have been so busy and I
still have a lot to do. I was literally stuck to this chair. It is
wood and we prefer it without a pillow. I was sweating so much that I
was quite stuck. I finally gave in and turned on the air conditioner. I
always prefer an open window but this summer is quite a scorcher. I
hope I can find time to paint tomorrow.

Monday
I was working on some computer chores in the evening when I started to
hear some thunder. It was very soft so I kept on until there was a loud
crack and I said, okay, I hear you! Time to turn off this time sucker.
Clyde
was watching TV. I joined him and mentioned I had turned off the
Trojan Horse. The storm really got going and Clyde said he hoped the
computer would be okay. I told him I turned it off and un-plugged it.
Did he want me to put it under the bed?
He said yes, just like a little puppy.
I
wonder if The Bird Man is starting to crack. He is outside every evening
studying the various populations around our house. Maybe I should take
his binoculars away for a while. LOL!

So hot! I don't want to put on the air conditioner yet
since it is cloudy outside but if the temperature in here gets to the
cooking my goose level, I will. I have pretty much finished my cover
illustration for Fiddling at Midnight's Farm House and now I need to
touch up parts of it and get to work on the other individual poem ones.
Got to start reading the manuscript.

We
will be visiting my Mom and other members of my family soon so I
decided to bake a loaf of zucchini bread using my Mom's great recipe.
She doesn't like cake that much but she does like fancy breads and her
recipe is quite complicated.
When I got to
the part about separating two eggs I groaned. I have always found
separating eggs to be difficult. It is so easy to break the yoke right
into the white.
I yelled at Clyde and asked him
if he could separate eggs. He said sure! He would take two out of the
carton and put one in the living room and one in the garage. We don't
have a garage. Okay, car port.

Got out to Claytor Lake yesterday! Such a beautiful day for the
beach! There are a lot of good reasons to live in Southwest Virginia
but Claytor Lake tops my list! There were a lot of boats zooming by so
the water was very active which is a lot of fun in an inner tube! I am
always so sad when Fall comes and the beach is closed. I like the
different seasons but summer fun is number one!
I don't have a painting of Claytor Lake but here is a favorite from Pawleys Island!

I have mentioned before, Clyde and I wear clothes at home that would
probably be rejected by Good Will. We just aren't into clothes and I
was flabbergasted to see $400 dollar tickets on summer blouses in New
York- and that was the cheap rack! We spend very little money on
clothes and both of us hate to shop so there is no danger of going broke
over a huge credit card bill.
I found a
great joke shirt for The Bird Man. He wears a lot of t-shirts and this
one would be perfect! The front of it says THIS IS A CHEEP SHIRT. Now

As
I have mentioned before, Clyde has a lot of dietary restrictions.
There is a long list of things he can't eat and when he began his
Fructose malabsorption diet he lost 30 pounds. He hasn't gained it back
but he has found so many substitutions with plenty of calories that he
has gained some of it back.
He is being more careful now and paying more attention to calories - something I have done since High School. It does work!
Anyway, here is a cartoon in the public domain that I thought was perfect for The Bird Man!

Pawleys Eve today. Got to take a break. There is still a lot to do but
I have plenty of time. Now I have to get some ideas going for
illustrations on some of the poems. Yikes! An artist's work is never
done!

Three
times a week I like to include some crazy thing The Word Man says and
sometimes I am ahead of schedule with quips, but today I didn't have
anything. We have been having a lot of political discussions and we are
both so concerned over the upcoming presidential election that it is
hard to joke about it.
When Clyde called
from work this morning I asked him if he had anything funny for my blog
and he didn't. Later he called and said he walked around for fifteen
minutes trying to think of something but no funny came to mind.
Oh
well, there was something cute on Facebook the other day. The caption
under a dirty rear view window was, My window is not Dirty. That's my
dog's nose art. Love it!

and I hope to have most of it done tomorrow. Next week I will have to
work in areas to strengthen the light effect and description. I will be
so glad when it is done! Yes!

and I like to walk in Wild Wood Park as much as we can. I was pleased
we got there today. Often times I bring a bag with my camera and my
glasses in case I see a butterfly on a flower that would make a good
photograph to add to my wildlife gallery on my website. I only have a
few photographs in that gallery.
I told Clyde to be on the look out for good photo possibilities and he looked puzzled and asked me if I had my camera.
I
told him I was always packing. Camera, not gun, of course. I have
decided that if I don't have my camera Tom Hanks will probably walk
right through the park. I wear something with deep pockets and put the
camera in one pocket and my glasses in the other one.
He
didn't show up and I didn't get a single wildlife photo. Oh well, back
to the easel. I love all mediums but photography is lowest on my
list. I do have some good ones, though.
