I am very pleased to sell two more prints! One of them was of my most popular beach photographs to a great South Carolina patron and the other one was of a very popular Pawleys Island painting to a great New Hampshire patron! Both of these prints were for Christmas ornaments that can only be bought on Zazzle.

Still working away on my latest commission and I am pleased with the progress. Because of the drying time of each layer I don't think I can have it ready for Christmas prints which would have been nice for the patron's family but oils just can't be rushed.

My curmudgeon hubby is at it again. There was another Fix -Your- Back- With -This -Device commercial on last night we had not seen before. One of the buyers said after he used the device he took the first steps without a cane he had taken in a long time.
Clyde said that was because there was a pay check for being on the commercial just out of reach. He had to get there.
A little tequila would also help.

I am still choking on pastel dust but not as much as I was. My methods always change and now I am using a gentler approach to the medium which does not create as much dust. My oil painting technique has changed a number of times and I was especially happy when I was content with thin layers. It was so much less expensive than what it is now. I am not happy now unless I use my own type of impasto technique with brushes.
Oh well. I am not only inspired to make artwork but I am also inspired to actively sell it. Can't paint without expensive supplies. Sometimes I have a really hard time letting one go but then I remember I can't take it with me and am glad I found a good home for it. Such is the life of a crazy artist!

I keep trying to keep a humorous section on this blog. It isn't easy. I now have great respect for comedy writers. Still, I love to laugh and want this section to be something to laugh about or at least smile at. Last night I asked Clyde if he had a funny for my blog and he said no.

Well, the source fell off the horse and it is galloping backwards.

for Fiddler at Midnight's Farm House so I am going to get back to
Pawleys Eve today. Got to take a break. There is still a lot to do but
I have plenty of time. Now I have to get some ideas going for
illustrations on some of the poems. Yikes! An artist's work is never
done!

Three
times a week I like to include some crazy thing The Word Man says and
sometimes I am ahead of schedule with quips, but today I didn't have
anything. We have been having a lot of political discussions and we are
both so concerned over the upcoming presidential election that it is
hard to joke about it.
When Clyde called
from work this morning I asked him if he had anything funny for my blog
and he didn't. Later he called and said he walked around for fifteen
minutes trying to think of something but no funny came to mind.
Oh
well, there was something cute on Facebook the other day. The caption
under a dirty rear view window was, My window is not Dirty. That's my
dog's nose art. Love it!

am so pleased to sell another original painting of beautiful Pawleys
Island to a great Texas patron! I am also pleased that I managed to
crate and ship two paintings today. The patron that bought Waterway
near Pawleys Island wanted it by Thursday so I was determined to get it
out today so he wouldn't have to pay a huge shipping fee.
The
great Richmond patron that bought Richmond on the James will have his
painting tomorrow afternoon! UPS works wonders when you are shipping in
