Blue Ridge Parkway Artist

I have not had any trouble with my back for years until two days ago.  I work so hard to stay in shape with exercise, stretching exercises and yoga that I get so mad when it acts up. 

When I do too much a muscle just starts to spasm without any reason.  I have had it happen when I rolled over in bed.  This time a muscle acted up as I turned to get paint off of my palette. 

It ain't easy being a workaholic. 

It is getting better and I bet I will be back to my easel tomorrow!  Cheers and enjoy your pain free back if you have one!

Lately Clyde has come up with some great jokes about political candidates for president.  I wish I could print them but we would like to keep our "Never Been Sued" status.  I remember a judge's words that people can say just about anything about famous people but I don't want to find out the hard way that there are some things that can't be said.

Say it, forget it, write it, regret it.  I live by that motto.

Anyway, there are a lot of cute weight jokes on Facebook right now.  Here is my favorite latest one.

I am racing the clock to get to a webinar today!  So far I have not found these webinars very helpful.  This one is 90 minutes long.  Yikes!  Can't they talk faster than that?  I did get some work done on a painting and a lot of computer stuff, but, as always there is much more to be do.

I am so pleased with my latest Heart Whimsy paintings.  Heart Flight is one of the most sensuous ones I have done so far.  I am doing some of them in oils rather acrylics.  Oils truly is my first love!

I am still having trouble with my new phone and apps.  When an app says the work has been corrected I think that should be the end.  Well, it isn't the end.  I have to hit an arrow below the image to be able to use it.   The phone is starting to get the same gripes my computer gets.  

Of course, Clyde has a crazy comment about it.  He says to see if that fancy phone can do the yoga move Downward Facing Dog and then let go when it can't support itself.

I am very pleased with my latest Heart interpretation painting!  This time I put the memory of a person that one may be thinking of or lost, etc.  The face I put in the heart is ghost like and the marks around the heart emanate her presence.

I am still cleaning out the mess in our house and now that I am in the computer room with all Clyde's books and documents the progress is very slow.  I pile the stuff up on the living room couch and he goes through it bit by bit when he gets a chance.  So much to go through!

Housework truly is an impossible task, especially when I have so much to do on the computer.  Sometimes I think I just need a bulldozer.  Of course a match would really finish the job but then I would have to take everything outside so we would still have a house to live in.  That is way too much work.  Back to the bulldozer idea!

Clyde and I often discuss what appears to be climate changes.  There are a lot of indications that our climate is changing and adversely affecting our environment.  Of course the melting of the polar ice caps is one of the strongest indication of change.

I am surprised that so many people do not believe there is a problem.  A lot of people point to heavy snowfall in their area which they say proves there is no warming trend.  They don't realize that the entire world has to be taken into consideration, not just one area.  Winter 2015 was the warmest one on record. If they actually studied the issue they may change their minds.

Clyde's response is there seems to be something going on with our environment that is not good.  What is not going on is education.
