I
am very impressed that I actually waded through my studio dump and
filmed a short Youtube. I didn't trip over anything but I did set
myself up for a problem that did occur after I was done.
I
precariously leaned a drawing board with some latest paintings against
the wall on my taboret. Right after I did that I knew it was an
accident waiting to happen but did that stop me. No!
Right
after I was done I leaned over to pick up a painting that fell and
knocked the board into the wall. Fortunately there was no damage.
I will never learn but I do keep things interesting. LOL!

I
know the Bird Man is glad the weather will be warmer this week-end.
Not that the weather stops him. It just stops the car so he can't get
to his favorite sites. Roads are fine and the Bird Man marches on.
I
asked him today how many species of birds he has seen. He wasn't sure
but he thinks the number is around 400. That is pretty good for a bird
watcher that will not go to any place where the wildlife is waiting for
him with a knife and fork as soon as he gets off the bus.
No Africa for him!
Here's a bird he has never seen and unlikely to ever see!

I
am still plowing my way through my studio. Right now it looks worse
than when I began. Oh well, I am finding things so that is great!
I consider our computer room to be Clyde's studio where he has all his writing stuff and birding stuff.
When I complained about how hard it is to clean up my studio I suggested he clean his up.
He said he didn't have a studio, just a Messyo.
That's
for sure! Fat chance of that being sorted out. He does take a few
things out of there to recycle so I shouldn't complain. Don't let
anyone tell you writers don't have a mess like artists do. NOT TRUE!
Well, that explains it. All that mess is coming from more than one person! LOL!

spite of a sore neck I was able to go to Yoga yesterday and the class
was full! Great to see so many people there!
I just avoided any
position that involved turning my neck to the left. It is still sore. I
still don't know why I woke up Monday with a horrible pain.
Anyway, it
is just about gone. Yes!!!!

As
I have mentioned ad nauseam I spend a lot of time on the computer
promoting my artwork. I used to run around to galleries which was quite
a chore so I really shouldn't complain about all my computer chores,
but I do.
I am always thinking about what I
need to do and don't want to do and then I am reminded that most of the
chores take two shakes of a lamb's tail.
Well, the problem is there are so many chores that I am shaking that lamb's tail all day long.
Clyde said I should watch out. Peta might come after me.
Ha ha.

Monday
is not starting off well. I thought I was working on a draft and
instead I typed over yesterday's post. I decided lateer to put that one back. Oh well, like my son says,
"Mondays and Tuesdays are rough on me."
I am
never using the glasses by the computer again. They fall down my nose
so I am always looking up at an angle and this morning I woke up with a
sore muscle in my neck. Ouch! I have plenty of glasses in the kitchen
and now one of those pairs will be here.

I have been married to the Word Man for so long that I am starting to come up with some humorous sayings.
I
am always baffled with the amount of attention that is paid to small
things and not important ones. I am not going to give out examples for
fear of offending someone.
Here is what I came up with.
Attention
to small things rather than the big problems in our society is the
nuts and bolts of stupid and that is what makes the world go around.
Clyde had a different ending to the saying but I think I had better not print it. "World" will do.

So
glad that whatever bug I have isn't very bad. Stomach is sore and I
have a little congestion but I don't have to stop. I want to get to the
studio when I finish computer stuff.
I wanted to go swimming this
afternoon but I may be contagious so I will stay here. Plenty to do and
I have a great Emile Zola movie for breaks! What a great author! I have read many of his novels.

I
hate doctor's appointments. Who doesn't? They take a big chunk of
time out of my busy day and this time it is the Eye doctor. That one is
always very long due to the drops time. Oh well, I am glad there are
people that are willing to help the rest of us out. Quite a difficult
profession, and oftentimes a thankless one.
My work will wait for me. I think it likes to pile up, especially in the studio.

I
saw a cute episode of Mike and Molly the other night and something Mike
said reminded me of how, in many ways, I am one of the boys.
When
we are home Clyde and I dress in clothes that Good Will would probably
not accept. I have a lot of messed up clothes to paint in. I hate
wearing a smock.
Since we wear junky stuff we don't bother with napkins.
On
the show Mike is home with the guys. No girls. He brings in the food
in the living room, announces what they have , and says, "And if you
have a shirt on, you have a napkin".

So
much to do today I am getting dizzy thinking about it. I often think
about Einstein's theories on time and how it can move so slowly for some
people.
My time moves like a rocket and I
have to run to get aboard! The snow sure looks pretty. Maybe I will
escape and walk in it for a little while. That would be great!

Clyde
is a mountain man and loves his home. He has walked up and down these
mountains countless times and works hard to educate people about this
gorgeous region of Virginia.
After spending two
and a half hours shoveling snow yesterday he said, "You know you are
getting old when you want to move to Florida even though you hate Florida more than snow.
We aren't moving and he doesn't want to buy a snow blower. Glad the roads are clear today.

Wow!
Lots of white stuff out there! Our street has not been plowed but I
can see traffic moving on one of the main roads from my window. The
guys have shoveled the sidewalk twice now and it is still pouring down.
I'll never forget what my brother did when we
were kids. He would clear off the driveway after about an inch or two
had accumulated and then repeat as often as necessary. That way he was
just pushing it off rather than lifting heavy snow.
Now he has a snow blower.

Life with The Bird and Word Man - Clyde Kessler
As
I have mentioned before I have fought the battle of the bulge my whole
life. I can't imagine what it would be like to have the freedom to eat
anything without gaining weight.
Anyway, I
have learned lots of tricks over the years to keep my weight down and I
recently discovered a new one that surprised me.
Once
in a while I get the munchies and give in and then am mad at myself. I
hate being stuffed. It ruins the great experience of eating. It is
like I have to over eat once in a while to remind myself I don't want
to do that.
Exercise is supposed to make you
hungry but if I choose to exercise when I am about to over eat it
actually takes my appetite away!
Since Clyde is also prone to eating a little too much I told him I had a new way to stop the munchies.
He said," Sew your lips together? That would probably do it but if you can still eat, then you deserve it."
Smarty pants.

I
have Line Dance and Yoga on the same day for a while and I really am
tired at the end of the day. I am always tired but last night I was
extra pooped!
Anyway, lots to do today and I
keep running into road blocks that I put in my Life with The Word and
Bird Man section. I will keep moving and stop tripping, I hope!
I don't care how cold it is right now, I wish I were at the scene below! Love the beach!

When
my son was little I read a lot of Sesame Street books to him. One of
our favorites was Grover's Bad Awful Day. It is a great book to read to
kids so they can get through tough times. Well, I certainly thought about that book this morning.
You know you are having a bad day when the pajamas you threw on to the dresser falls in the trash can.
You know you are having a bad day when your water filter just sits there and does not fill up the pitcher.
You
know you are having a bad day when you click on something and get a
phony virus infection notice that you can't get off without turning the
computer off.
Lastly, you know you are having a
bad day when you call your husband to ask about a computer problem and
the computer gives you a dirty look and just spins and spins and spins.
I bought groceries so I could say I got something done this morning and then got back to all my computer work.
