I
am really dragging today but I did get some work done on my latest
painting. I love my yoga class and my line dancing class but now they
are both on Tuesday so I am quite tired on Wednesdays. Also, more and
more, I am being enticed by my piano.
I just
play because I like to play and sometimes I help out at church but I am
feeling the need to try to compose something. The reason I didn't
pursue music as I have pursued painting is because I had no idea on how
to compose and as much as I like interpreting other artist's work it
wasn't enough.
I am not about to take any
classes on music composition so I doubt it will be much, but I think I
will give it a try. I really do wish I could have a bunch of lives.
Longfellow was right. Life it short, but art is long.

One of my favorite expressions about wildlife is squirrels are so popular because they have a great hair do.
The
other day Clyde and I were waiting for our son in our car when we
noticed a squirrel with a very different hair do. The fluffy tail was
pressed against the entire body ending at it's head. It looked like it
had been taped on.
Clyde said it was probably trying to impress a girl with a punk squirrel look.

I
thought I was sick yesterday but today I don't have any symptoms! Must
have been allergies. My son is sick with some sort of bug that is
going around. I know he doesn't mind a day off.
It
seems like I have been running around in circles today, not getting any
thing done. Oh well, it is a beautiful day and I hope I can wade
through the mess long enough to finish my latest Kendall Expressions
painting. The second stage may be the last. I will figure that out
today.

don't have any funnies from Clyde today but there was a great one about
butterflies on Facebook. A caterpillar is waiting on his girlfriend
who is in a tree in a chrysalis . The boy friend can't understand why
she is taking so long. She said she went up to change. Love it!

Beautiful
weather today! It is great to get a break from the cold. I am still
sorting through The Bermuda Triangle and finding some things I need to
add to my computer records so the time is well spent. I hope to get to
my current painting later and work on some records. Busy, busy, busy!
If
anyone knows why my typing is showing up a while after I type it,
please let me know what I need to do with my Mac. This is extremely
irritating.

Clyde
made an election comment that I cannot print but he does have a
suggestion for record keeping in this country that might be helpful.
Not funny, just helpful.
After hearing
about the latest computer crisis concerning IRS hacking that involves a
large number of people, Clyde commented that perhaps we should not have
extremely important records on line. If we reverted to paper records
then the information could not be hacked and there would be more jobs.
Something to consider in our computer dominated world.
I did see a cute comment on Facebook. If we are going to have an extra day in March, why does it have to be a Monday? -Maxine

I
am still plowing my way through my studio. Right now it looks worse
than when I began. Oh well, I am finding things so that is great!
I consider our computer room to be Clyde's studio where he has all his writing stuff and birding stuff.
When I complained about how hard it is to clean up my studio I suggested he clean his up.
He said he didn't have a studio, just a Messyo.
That's
for sure! Fat chance of that being sorted out. He does take a few
things out of there to recycle so I shouldn't complain. Don't let
anyone tell you writers don't have a mess like artists do. NOT TRUE!
Well, that explains it. All that mess is coming from more than one person! LOL!

I
don't have a lot to say today. I have my igloo suit on and will soon
finish my latest painting. My studio is the coldest room in the house.
I learned years ago that a thick bathrobe over my clothes is much
better than a sweater.
I would have to turn
the heat up much higher than is reasonable if I didn't wear it. I don't
know why I am such a cold person but my hands are like ice this time of
the year. Anyway, I am hardly ever down, just cold. Time to get to
work!

Clyde
doesn't have a funny for me today but I found a site that has some
great bird jokes despite the name. Here is one from Really Bad Bird

Two vultures were in the desert eating a dead clown. The first vulture asks the second vulture: "Does this taste funny to you?"
Clyde
is always cheerful. He has so much to do that he doesn't get into bad
moods. The only time I see him a little down is when the weather is so
bad that he is prevented from getting outside to check on birds and
other wildlife.
It doesn't matter how cold it
is but when there is ice on the roads he doesn't get out to his
favorite spots. So glad the roads are clear today.
