Why is it that I  worked all morning and I still had so much to do?  Lots to do right now. I sure do keep busy.  Someone once told me that a person's chances of winning the lottery were the same as getting struck by lightening 14 times in one day.  

I wish the winner would divide it up and give everyone a share.  Then we would all be millionaires!  I have seen that suggestion posted a bunch of times the last few days.  Sounds good to me!  Then I could hire a staff to take care of all my work and I could just paint.

I am really enjoying my Beautiful Skyline Series!  I still have a lot of ideas for the Roanoke Skyline but I will move on to others.  Live to paint!  I can't say that too many times.  I just wish I had an agent for all the other work.  

 

Oh well, time to move on to some computer work and then Yoga!  Love it!  My joints especially love Yoga!  Then back to the computer.  I have a project that I am real excited about which will take a lot of seat time.

Blue Ridge Parkway Artist

I have not had any trouble with my back for years until two days ago.  I work so hard to stay in shape with exercise, stretching exercises and yoga that I get so mad when it acts up. 

When I do too much a muscle just starts to spasm without any reason.  I have had it happen when I rolled over in bed.  This time a muscle acted up as I turned to get paint off of my palette. 

It ain't easy being a workaholic. 

It is getting better and I bet I will be back to my easel tomorrow!  Cheers and enjoy your pain free back if you have one!

Lately Clyde has come up with some great jokes about political candidates for president.  I wish I could print them but we would like to keep our "Never Been Sued" status.  I remember a judge's words that people can say just about anything about famous people but I don't want to find out the hard way that there are some things that can't be said.

Forms, forms, forms! Every time I turn around I have to fill out a medical form which seems like a snap until I take a close look at it. I either have a lot of information to dig up or I am asked questions that don't seem to make sense about future medical expenses. 

I call one office about the questions and they ask me to call another office and that office asks me to call another office.  Yikes!  It really is a Monday!

So tired of forms!  I wish they didn't have to be updated so often.

Clyde does not like cell phones.  He hardly ever has his on and oftentimes doesn't even take it with him.  He pays about seven dollars a month and is required to add at least 60 minutes every three months.

He just added more and now has 1000 minutes on his phone.  I told him he could probably call Mars. He said the Martians would probably offer a lot of rocks in exchange for hamburgers.  I think I will keep my hamburgers.  Rocks from Mars does sound interesting but the only time I am not hungry is right after eating so...no.  Keep your rocks, Mars.

I am just about ready for Christmas!  Cards will go out today and I am going to paint as soon as I finish all my chores. 

The Bird Man will be on a Christmas Bird Count tomorrow and will be getting up at 4:30 to work all day cataloging different species.  Since that is the time he gets up to go to work it is no problem but our son is going, too. 

Hope he can rise and shine at 4:30!

I am so pleased to be starting a new Kendall Expressions painting in oils!  I usually do these in acrylics but my two favorite ones were done in oils so I decided to get back to very expressive oils.   This one will be in my Kendall Expressions Gallery and Stages of my Art Gallery.

Our house is very dry right now.  Clyde bought a new vaporizer that he hasn't set up yet because he thinks he will need to buy a table for it so it will be easier to manage.

Mean while I am reminded of one of those Maxine comics that I saw on Facebook today.  Maxine says that age may have slowed her down but not shut her up.

Clyde and I don't usually snore that much but with the dry house I can definitely say age has not shut us up.  I can't believe all the wierd snoring noises I hear from Clyde and he says I am sawing quite a load of wood.

I think that vaporizer will be set up soon or we will have to sleep at opposite ends of the house.

Clyde is a very considerate guy in many ways.  He can't clean up his stuff in the computer room but I like to think that is because he is in to so many things he needs a secretary.  I am not going to be that secretary.

Anyway, for many years he has been taking his clothes to the living room so he won't wake me up at 4:30.  Yes, that is when he gets up for work.

I like to goad him because he usually comes up with a funny response.  It occurred to me the other night that I didn't know if he dressed there or took the clothes to the bathroom so I asked him if he actually dressed in the living room.

He said yes, he opens the curtains and front door and turns on a strobe light so the neighbors can get a great view.

He does dress in the living room, not the bathroom.  No strobe light.
