We
are getting so much rain lately that it is hard to get the grass mowed
with a soaked yard. The other day Clyde said he had intended to mow
the yard but then we had another deluge and I said you will either have
to get a goat or chew on it yourself.
He said he was just the old goat to get it done.
Okay,
people have to be really up there in age to consider us young but I
don't think we are old goat status yet or, at least I would like to
think we aren't.

rain! My guys are planning to go with me this Wednesday if the weather

Clyde
and I spend a lot of time on the computer but not a lot of time on our
phones. I went from the simplest type of phone without camera,
internet, etc., to a smart phone.
I have
had so many problems with my phone. The other day my sister called and
it didn't ring. She wrote me on Facebook that she left a message. When
I checked, the phone had a message but then when I tried to find it, it
disappeared.
I told her on Facebook to try
again. When the phone rang, I pressed the button and the end call button
lit up so I let out a four letter word. Then I heard my sister say
hello and wondered what the four letter word was about.
My smart phone is way smarter than me. Clyde says for us the phone is a new four letter word - fone.

I have been trying all week to get to the lake but the
weather is not cooperating. I had all my stuff in my bag, ready to go,
and it started to sprinkle. I can still walk in my studio so today
would be a good day to get some more work done but I would rather be
swimming.

Like most people, we have two cars. They are getting old.
One of them is thirteen years old and the other one is seventeen.
I mentioned to Clyde that our cars are now teenagers. I hope we brought them up right.
He said they would probably just drive off and leave us for good.
Or fall apart. I am betting on the latter. They are starting to hobble along.

I got up early to get things done so we can all go to the

husband says this will probably be a good day but I have my doubts.

Every
day I read articles about the upcoming presidential election and I
don't know if I am reading fact or fiction . As Harold Walowitz from The
Big Bang Theory once told Raj. "Grow up Raj, there is no room for
truth on the internet."
I like to ask
Clyde what he thinks about all the stuff I see about the candidates as
he really keeps up and is good at dividing fact from fiction. So far, I
am not happy with what I am hearing from him.
In another post I mentioned the candidate he thought we should vote for. He said we should write in Scooby Doo.
He
has since changed his mind. Now he thinks we should vote for the Pink
Panther. At least the Pink Panther comes with a good theme song.
As usual, he is right. Who doesn't like the Pink Panther theme song?

Today
as we were coming back from the park there was a tail gator about to
kiss our bumper. This car had very dark windows, so, as usual, I
complained about dark windows. I think it is my right as a motorist to
know whether or not other drivers are awake when driving near me.
Also,
as usual, Clyde had something to say about driving rights. Much to my
surprise we all have a constitutional right to carry a gun but a
driver's license is a privilege. He was born in August so when we got
home he showed me the renewal form and sure enough, it does clearly say
privilege.
I guess we should all
carry a gun but not all of us are allowed to drive. I know a lot of
people think that if we all had guns that would solve the mass shooting
problem, but I think if we all have guns the terrorists will just start
heaving bombs.
I am not going to carry a gun or a bomb but I would like car windows to be clear.

have been racking what is left of my brain and thinking of things Clyde
has said lately and not a funnie in sight! Nothing good on Facebook
either. I guess I will just have to declare June 17th 2016 No Funnies
Day. Maybe I should give Clyde a call and see if I can goad him into a
good quip. On no! He must really be busy. Can't get an answer.

Clyde
starts his day at 4:30 a.m. I start my day, usually at 7:30 a.m.,
sometimes earlier. Clyde calls me at 7:30 to make sure I am up so I can
take Alan to work.
Since I know it is he
that is calling, I like to say silly things when I answer. Yesterday I
used one of my favorites. "Who dat?" He replied "Ain't Much, over here
with Uncle Nothing."
One of these days someone
will call me very early and I will probably be very embarrassed. My
phone tells me the number but I don't always look.
Oh
well. Like Lucy of The Peanuts comics once said, " If you watch out
for every word that comes out of your mouth, you won't ever get much
said."

can always count on Clyde for humor. He has often mentioned to me that
people didn't appreciate his sense of humor when he was growing up so
he would usually keep it to himself.
I think
he is hilarious and I hope readers here appreciate it. I have had

Food restaurants and call it Lord of the Fries. Love it!

seem to working harder and harder at my artwork and at household
chores. I am way too cheap to hire a cleaning women so I do it all
myself and lately it has been running more and more into the evenings.
Yuck!
The other night I mentioned to Clyde
that the old saying, " From sun to sun a woman's work is never
done"should be "From sun to sun a stupid woman's work is never done " -
Women that can't seem to get other members of the household to help out.
He agreed with me as he picked up a dish to wash. Smart husband!
