Getting a lot done today.  So far, the ear pulsing is not there!  Maybe the pulsatile tinnitus is due to a sinus infection that I am getting over.  Fingers and paint brushes crossed!

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

Clyde is still working with a sore knee and not joking around much.  I think the funny barometer will rise as the pain decreases.

Anyway, a funny thing happened to me on Facebook the other day that reminded me of a favorite show, The Middle.  A friend sent me a message proclaiming his love for me.  He is always complimenting my artwork so I didn't want to be harsh.  I thanked him and said I didn't think he should be saying that to a married woman.

He apologized, said he was married too, and had been hitting the moonshine.  On a favorite episode of The Middle, Frankie tells Mike after a great party that she would like to invite all their friends over for a party.

She sent them emails that night and in the morning when she sobered up and realized she didn't really want to have a big party, she said, "We need a breathalyzer on that computer!"  Love it! I think that Facebook friend needs one, too.  That wasn't the first time he had sent me a strange message.

My three new Blue Ridge Parkway paintings are coming along a little faster than usual which is great as I have a lot of other paintings I want to get to.  So many ideas, so little time!

Although I don't entirely agree with this Albert Einstein quote, I do think he had a good point.  If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.  I don't agree with the people part, but definitely agree with the things part of the quote.

Anyway, cheers!

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

I can't think of much that is funny today.  I won't get into details but the problem with this election is one of them had to win and I am scared for the future of the country so I will keep on painting and hoping disaster will not happen.  Here is a little yoga humor.

I read somewhere that muscles are like taffee in their construction and how they behave.  I told Clyde my Yoga class is quite a Taffee Pull.  He said that was okay, just don't wear out the mat.

I don't think I will ever be able to do Mula Bandha!  Yikes!

Still working hard on three new Blue Ridge Parkway oil paintings.  Love oil paint!  Oils will always be my favorite medium.   It is a difficult medium but the textural effects that can be achieved are amazing!  It is always like a magic act.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

As I have mentioned before, Clyde gets up in the middle of the night to go to work so he calls me to make sure I am up.

Since I know it is him I either groan, say Jello, or Who dat?  Today I said Who dat?

Here is how the conversation went.

Who dat?

Dat Nobody.

Mr. Dat Nobody or Dr. Dat Nobody?

Doctor Dat Strange Nobody.

Maybe it should be Doctor Dat Strange Nobody Who.

A little Doctor Who  humor for today.  Don't groan too loud.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

Wow!  Election day is almost here and I still don't have a space suit so I can vote.  Holding my nose will not be good enough this time.

Clyde says he would rather have a real donkey or elephant this time.  He would like to see an elephant back up and sit on both of them.  He would pay to see that circus.

No offense to readers that have strong convictions about one of the candidates. We have big time problems with both of them.

Life with The Bird and Word Man - Clyde Kessler

I can always count on Clyde for humor.  He has often mentioned to me that people didn't appreciate his sense of humor when he was growing up so he would usually keep it to himself.

I think he is hilarious and I hope readers here appreciate it.  I have had favorable comments about his quips and this section of the blog gets a lot of traffic so I will continue to post his funnies.

His latest is a publication quip.  He has decided to write a book on Fast Food restaurants and call it Lord of the Fries.  Love it!
