As I have said before, my Yoga Mantra that I keep to myself is, "I hate Yoga, I hate Yoga, I hate Yoga." I would never tell our great teacher that and I will never stop going to class. Yoga is so helpful. Monday I hurt my back and thought I was in for a bad spell. I took it easy and by nightfall it was hardly hurting at all.
Tuesday morning the pain was completely gone! I really think that is because I do Yoga every day. I don't like doing it at all but I love what it does for me. I guess I should try a more positive mantra. Not going to happen. I would rather be painting or just about anything else.
Anyway, Yoga really does rock! Maybe one of these days my mantra will be, "Yoga rocks, yoga rocks, yoga rocks!" I think everyone should force themselves to do it!

I am so tired I am feeling like the Walking Dead lately. Okay, you know you are an old person that does not watch much TV when you make a reference to something and not know what you are referring to. I decided I had better look and now I know The Walking Dead is a TV program about Zombies. I wouldn't say I am a Zombie but now that my back is completely well I am working too hard at everything. Sometimes I wonder why I am such a workaholic. I don't wonder long. Got it from my Dad. He didn't drink at all. He worked and so do I.
I know of too many people that developed a bad alcohol problem so I am not about to take up drinking. I might like to too much. I love everything that I do. I just wish I could turn into some sort of supergirl that helps the planet but still has time for everything else. Long ago I traveled to Spain with my mother and was having some stomach problems. She insisted I take some sort of medicine that had a tranquilizing effect on me. I never felt better in my life! Drugs are not the answer either.
Just wish there were more hours in the day and I had more energy. Shouldn't complain, but we all do.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
Yoga has helped me very much and I would recommend it to anyone that would like to keep their body going. I learned a few years ago that exercise is not enough. Muscles seem to freeze with age. All the swiming, skating, and dancing is not enough. Anyway, I go to class twice a week and also do small workouts at home. I like what it does for me but I don't like Yoga at all. It is strenuous and time consuming.
There is always a clock there and I try hard not to keep looking at it but I am anxious for the class to end.
I told Clyde I am always very glad to Namaste my butt right out the door when the class is over!

My three new Blue Ridge Parkway paintings are coming along a little
faster than usual which is great as I have a lot of other paintings I
want to get to. So many ideas, so little time!
Although I don't
entirely agree with this Albert Einstein quote, I do think he had a
good point. If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to
people or things. I don't agree with the people part, but definitely
agree with the things part of the quote.

I
can't think of much that is funny today. I won't get into details but
the problem with this election is one of them had to win and I am scared
for the future of the country so I will keep on painting and hoping
disaster will not happen. Here is a little yoga humor.
I read
somewhere that muscles are like taffee in their construction and how
they behave. I told Clyde my Yoga class is quite a Taffee Pull. He
said that was okay, just don't wear out the mat.
I don't think I will ever be able to do Mula Bandha! Yikes!
