I am happy to present my first Demo Youtube! It is rather long so I may look into those speeded up ones I see other artists do. In this one I did the first two stages of a Suggestion painting.
In these works I paint in an abstract expressionist manner and then look to see if some vague form shows up. Then I pull it out. It is a great experience and prints are available. I don't sell the originals because I use very inexpensive paint and paper for this series.
The wall art prints and prints on just about anything are archival and great! Please check out the Youtube below! I am going to try to make one a week to get more attention on Youtube.

Yesterday evening I told Clyde I wanted to tell him about the nightmare I woke up with.

We decided to get a separation and some dude found me an apartment to live in but he assumed I wanted him to live there, too! I sent him packing and then I woke up.

Well, I am back to my Skyline Beauty series! I really enjoy this series in acrylics. I love the way I can achieve a bunch of layers in one session due to the drying time of the paint. I used to think that was a major disadvantage of acrylics but now I think it is an advantage - at least an advantage for how I paint. I decided on another view of the Memphis TN skyline and am very pleased with the first stage.
I may just tweak it and have one listing but I will see what happens when I get back to it. I was starting with just the center area of the canvas for my Skyline Paintings and then filling it up in the second layer but this time I wanted to cover the whole canvas for the first stage. I will be painting one more Memphis painting and will probably have two layers that are quite different.

Wow! There certainly is a massive effort to convince everyone their teeth should be as white as a piece of tissue paper. Of course, there are lots of products to buy to achieve super white teeth. I don't think teeth are meant to be white as snow. I knew a girl that had teeth so white each one of them looked like a little flashlight. Clyde said maybe people should just put a flashlight in their mouth. Then they wouldn't have to work so hard to get them white.
I think I will just brush and floss. They look okay to me.

Too much to do today so I am trying to get most of it done early. One of the problems with oil paintings is that even with a cover on the palette the expensive paint is drying as I am typing so I have to get in there and get to work. Acrylics dry almost as fast as you put it out on the palette so they have to be used up each session. I would agree with acrylic painters that there are many advantages to that medium but oils are just so much richer in my opinion. And they can be built up into a fascinating web of brushwork.
Well, time to get off of my High Horse and get to the studio. Right after I finish the laundry, scan some music, and do some dishes. I am finally getting to the second stage of Pawleys Island Atmosphere now that my back is better. I put the first stage up a few weeks ago and it is about to hit 2000 hits! Definitely a keeper! The painting is picture below and prints are available of this first stage. Busy, busy, busy!

Our church has a great Faith and Film night and so far I have supplied most of the films since I am a huge film buff. I know of a lot of uplifting films that pertain to faith and last night we saw Return to Me which is one of my all time favorite films. It is about regaining hope and happiness after a tragic loss. I won't give the plot away but it centers around a zoologist who works hard to get a great habitat for her gorilla friend.
The actress Bonnie Hunt and Director of the film is from a large Catholic family and she wanted to make a film about Catholics. Most of the kids in the film are her relatives. Anyway, it is a great romantic comedy, emphasis on comedy, and I highly recommend it. Carroll O'Conner is one of the principal players.
I don't have a funny from Clyde today. He said a few crazy things but I forgot to write them down so here is a free clip art funny. Not sure why the word koalified is partially hidden. The site did say free clip art. I am very careful about these things. Just wish I could get creeps to stop stealing my stuff. Seems like all the ones I check into are out of range or not pursuable.

I am so tired I am feeling like the Walking Dead lately. Okay, you know you are an old person that does not watch much TV when you make a reference to something and not know what you are referring to. I decided I had better look and now I know The Walking Dead is a TV program about Zombies. I wouldn't say I am a Zombie but now that my back is completely well I am working too hard at everything. Sometimes I wonder why I am such a workaholic. I don't wonder long. Got it from my Dad. He didn't drink at all. He worked and so do I.
I know of too many people that developed a bad alcohol problem so I am not about to take up drinking. I might like to too much. I love everything that I do. I just wish I could turn into some sort of supergirl that helps the planet but still has time for everything else. Long ago I traveled to Spain with my mother and was having some stomach problems. She insisted I take some sort of medicine that had a tranquilizing effect on me. I never felt better in my life! Drugs are not the answer either.
Just wish there were more hours in the day and I had more energy. Shouldn't complain, but we all do.

Yoga has helped me very much and I would recommend it to anyone that would like to keep their body going. I learned a few years ago that exercise is not enough. Muscles seem to freeze with age. All the swiming, skating, and dancing is not enough. Anyway, I go to class twice a week and also do small workouts at home. I like what it does for me but I don't like Yoga at all. It is strenuous and time consuming.
There is always a clock there and I try hard not to keep looking at it but I am anxious for the class to end.
I told Clyde I am always very glad to Namaste my butt right out the door when the class is over!
