So pleased to finish a still life!  I don't have it on my website but I will put it there soon!  I don't paint a lot of still lifes but when I do I try real hard to make them special and visually captivating.  I think the surface and delicate light effect make this one something to see!

Last night I asked Clyde how his knee is doing. 

Do you still have pain there?

Yes.

I have a pain now. 

I am not leaving. 

Not you.  I have a pain in the back of my right ankle.  So, if I were to compare you to a  pain I wouldn't say you were a pain in the neck.  I guess I would have to say you are a pain in the heel. Or, maybe just a heel.  I think that word is still used to describe a crummy person. 

Married too long to a writer.  You can't help but pick up on the weird word play.
