The arm wrestling is over for my latest painting! I am getting exactly what I want. When I started I wasn't sure what I wanted for my latest wildlife painting. I knew I wanted to get an intense expression with a complex surface. I am almost done and will be glad to add it to my portfolio! It is completely different from the first layer. Now I want to get to a large painting while I am in practice with oils. It is my main medium but when I go to the very different medium of acrylics I have to get my ease back with oils or I waste a lot of expensive paint. Looking forward to the last session! When my painting is working I feel like I'm out on the bay enjoying life!

Lately I have had Steven Sondheim's song Send in the Clowns on my mind. I told Clyde it is because of the ants. For several mornings now I have been singing Where are the ants. There ought to be ants. I have been singing that because there aren't any in the kitchen but a little later I sing the last two lines. Don't bother. They're here.
One or two keep showing up but I think we are on the verge of success. I am starting to put back a few things on the shelves that are closed but I know from past experience that ants can work their way in.
Clyde said to quit singing the first two lines or a whole troupe of them may hear it and come in with a very loud, Don't bother. They're here!!!! They may want to start a rock band.

I got up early to get things done so we can all go to the
lake this evening but it sure is cloudy out there. My weather man
husband says this will probably be a good day but I have my doubts.
Still so much to do but I will be ready. Love to swim!
Started raining right when Clyde came home. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow.

Life with The Bird and Word Man - Clyde Kessler
Every
day I read articles about the upcoming presidential election and I
don't know if I am reading fact or fiction . As Harold Walowitz from The
Big Bang Theory once told Raj. "Grow up Raj, there is no room for
truth on the internet."
I like to ask
Clyde what he thinks about all the stuff I see about the candidates as
he really keeps up and is good at dividing fact from fiction. So far, I
am not happy with what I am hearing from him.
In another post I mentioned the candidate he thought we should vote for. He said we should write in Scooby Doo.
He
has since changed his mind. Now he thinks we should vote for the Pink
Panther. At least the Pink Panther comes with a good theme song.
As usual, he is right. Who doesn't like the Pink Panther theme song?
