My yoga teacher pulled some modifications of old moves that she learned at a yoga learning session of some sort and I think those new moves might be a little too much. I have a sore muscle in my hip I didn't have before today's class. Hope it doesn't get worse. Lots of work to do but I think I had better take it easy. I will do that right after Line Dance class. Hope I don't pay for lack of caution.

Some interesting developments regarding dogs these days. Man's best friend sure is getting some special treatment. I recently saw a car seat for dogs. Looked just like one for a baby.
The other day there was a dog food commercial that claimed to put the puppy back into a fat, old, lazy dog. First there was a video of the fat dog looking pretty awful and then the same dog trimmed down and running around like a puppy.
My curmudgeon hubby said the videos were presented backwards. The dog got fat and lazy off of the miracle dog food. Don't get me wrong, dogs are great, but they are not people and I think we need to dial back some of these efforts to turn them into humans with fur.
Lots of pictures of them wearing clothes, too. Next thing you know they will be sitting on boosters seats and eating with a knife and fork at the table.

The arm wrestling is over for my latest painting! I am getting exactly what I want. When I started I wasn't sure what I wanted for my latest wildlife painting. I knew I wanted to get an intense expression with a complex surface. I am almost done and will be glad to add it to my portfolio! It is completely different from the first layer. Now I want to get to a large painting while I am in practice with oils. It is my main medium but when I go to the very different medium of acrylics I have to get my ease back with oils or I waste a lot of expensive paint. Looking forward to the last session! When my painting is working I feel like I'm out on the bay enjoying life!

Lately I have had Steven Sondheim's song Send in the Clowns on my mind. I told Clyde it is because of the ants. For several mornings now I have been singing Where are the ants. There ought to be ants. I have been singing that because there aren't any in the kitchen but a little later I sing the last two lines. Don't bother. They're here.
One or two keep showing up but I think we are on the verge of success. I am starting to put back a few things on the shelves that are closed but I know from past experience that ants can work their way in.
Clyde said to quit singing the first two lines or a whole troupe of them may hear it and come in with a very loud, Don't bother. They're here!!!! They may want to start a rock band.

When
I was teaching at Radford University I had some night classes so on
Mondays we ordered Pizza and Tuesdays we got Chinese take out. For some
reason we still do that. The habit took hold and didn't let go.
I
love broccoli and almost always order chicken and broccoli. Yesterday I
was wondering why I hardly ever ordered shrimp and broccoli, so I
ordered it.
Later, as I was downing one drink after the next I
remembered why and mentioned to Clyde that I don't order it often
because it is the saltiest dish there.
He said that is because the shrimp bring the ocean with them.
Okay, I like that one! Cheers!

go into it one more time. The second stage is not as complicated as

Clyde
goes to bed early due to his work schedule. Last night I was very
tired and on his side of the bed. I said he was going to have to pick
me up. Just kidding, of course. I don't want to hurt his back.
He declined and I asked if he was going to, at least, give me a hand.
He clapped.
Argh!
I love his word play, but sometimes I think it would be nice to write a
bunch of it on a baseball and slam bat it right out the window. Maybe
someone would find it and like it or hate it. If the finder liked it,
Clyde's crazy stuff would make their day. If the finder hated it, he or
she could pelt it on down the street.

The other day I read about a theory that people that talk to themselves are not scatter brains. They are geniuses!
Well,
I talk to myself all the time, especially when I am trying to arm
wrestle a painting down. I not only talk to myself, I practically
scream. There have been times that I look out the window to make sure
no one heard me.
Clyde talks to himself in the car. He mostly
yells at other motorists that aren't being lerts. He tries real hard to
be a lert. Sorry. I couldn't resist that goofy word play of his.
Anyway, the above certainly proves we are either geniuses or very cantankerous people. LOL!
