When
I was teaching at Radford University I had some night classes so on
Mondays we ordered Pizza and Tuesdays we got Chinese take out. For some
reason we still do that. The habit took hold and didn't let go.
I
love broccoli and almost always order chicken and broccoli. Yesterday I
was wondering why I hardly ever ordered shrimp and broccoli, so I
ordered it.
Later, as I was downing one drink after the next I
remembered why and mentioned to Clyde that I don't order it often
because it is the saltiest dish there.
He said that is because the shrimp bring the ocean with them.
Okay, I like that one! Cheers!

and I decided to upload this one in stages. I think I am done but I may
go into it one more time. The second stage is not as complicated as

Clyde
goes to bed early due to his work schedule. Last night I was very
tired and on his side of the bed. I said he was going to have to pick
me up. Just kidding, of course. I don't want to hurt his back.
He declined and I asked if he was going to, at least, give me a hand.
He clapped.
Argh!
I love his word play, but sometimes I think it would be nice to write a
bunch of it on a baseball and slam bat it right out the window. Maybe
someone would find it and like it or hate it. If the finder liked it,
Clyde's crazy stuff would make their day. If the finder hated it, he or
she could pelt it on down the street.

The other day I read about a theory that people that talk to themselves are not scatter brains. They are geniuses!
Well,
I talk to myself all the time, especially when I am trying to arm
wrestle a painting down. I not only talk to myself, I practically
scream. There have been times that I look out the window to make sure
no one heard me.
Clyde talks to himself in the car. He mostly
yells at other motorists that aren't being lerts. He tries real hard to
be a lert. Sorry. I couldn't resist that goofy word play of his.
Anyway, the above certainly proves we are either geniuses or very cantankerous people. LOL!

leg is completely well after sort of falling off the stage at The
Draper Mercantile and I am anxious to get to work on my latest oil
painting of a marsh egret at Pawleys Island. It is coming along. Love
oils!
Nothing
like this beautiful medium that does not have to be put under glass.
The impasto surface is winding around in a delicate and expressive way

Since
I paint in oils I need a plastic bag at the end of a session to put the
paper towels in that are covered in paint and mineral spirits.
Monday,
Clyde was home when I was painting due to car problems and when I
finished painting I asked him to get a plastic bag for me so I wouldn't
get paint on the cabinet where they are located.
I told him I never plan ahead.
He said he was the evidence for that.
Ha ha. Just get the bag.

Our
Line Dancing Performance went well on Saturday until I stepped off the
stage and didn't notice the wood rim around it for cords. I fell but
another line dancer caught me. Still, this is one time Line Dancing
was not good for me. My left leg hurt all yesterday. It is getting
better today. Oh well, we had fun!

Over
the years I have thought about that old saying that opposites attract
and wondered how Clyde and I got together. We are so much alike. I
finally realized that we are different in one way. I am painfully shy
and have to put on an act when I am around others so I can talk. He is
not the least bit shy.
I won't go into all the ways that we are
alike except one. Even though I can organize stuff and he couldn't
organize a pair of shoe laces, we are complete slobs in the way we dress
and handle food.
