Life with The Bird and Word Man - Clyde Kessler
Clyde
starts his day at 4:30 a.m. I start my day, usually at 7:30 a.m.,
sometimes earlier. Clyde calls me at 7:30 to make sure I am up so I can
take Alan to work.
Since I know it is he
that is calling, I like to say silly things when I answer. Yesterday I
used one of my favorites. "Who dat?" He replied "Ain't Much, over here
with Uncle Nothing."
One of these days someone
will call me very early and I will probably be very embarrassed. My
phone tells me the number but I don't always look.
Oh
well. Like Lucy of The Peanuts comics once said, " If you watch out
for every word that comes out of your mouth, you won't ever get much
said."

I
can always count on Clyde for humor. He has often mentioned to me that
people didn't appreciate his sense of humor when he was growing up so
he would usually keep it to himself.
I think
he is hilarious and I hope readers here appreciate it. I have had
favorable comments about his quips and this section of the blog gets a
lot of traffic so I will continue to post his funnies.
His
latest is a publication quip. He has decided to write a book on Fast
Food restaurants and call it Lord of the Fries. Love it!

I can't believe how much better my studio looks! I still
haven't shoveled it all back in after finishing my video but I am
getting rid of things that I no longer need and organizing the rest. I
wonder if the neatness will last more than one day. Hope so!

I
seem to working harder and harder at my artwork and at household
chores. I am way too cheap to hire a cleaning women so I do it all
myself and lately it has been running more and more into the evenings.
Yuck!
The other night I mentioned to Clyde
that the old saying, " From sun to sun a woman's work is never
done"should be "From sun to sun a stupid woman's work is never done " -
Women that can't seem to get other members of the household to help out.
He agreed with me as he picked up a dish to wash. Smart husband!

living room and hall is still covered with stuff from my studio so I
can walk in it and film a special Youtube that will encompass all that I
am as an artist.
I hope to get it done today
and, after some research, I will post it next week. Then I have to get
busy on a very special assignment for Clyde. More about that later.

Life with The Bird and Word Man - Clyde Kessler
A
few years ago Clyde fell into a gopher hole and injured his hip.
Despite therapy he is still having trouble. He has had a few other
falls over the years and I worry he may have another one.
As
we were walking through Wildwood Park the other day it occurred to me
that maybe we should make our bathroom safer since a lot of serious
accidents happen there.
I asked him if he thought we should add a bar to our bathroom. He said sure, salad or booze or both?
A teetotaler funny for today. I was surprised that teetotaler is not spelled teatotaler. I checked.

all morning hauling stuff out of my studio and setting it up for a
youtube that I hope to get done in a few days! I think this one will be
so much more than my usual update videos. It will encompass all that I

once in a while there is a program about extraterrestrials that is fun
to watch. I don't know what to make of these shows but the two
commentators in the last one said sometimes extraterrestrials are
elusive.
Clyde said he thinks extraterrestrials are sometimes elusive because the whiskey is not elusive. Cheers!

that monkey really gets on my nerves.
I
don't know if it is my computer or the site but it seems to stall in
certain places so I think I am doing something wrong. I am learning to
just wait and that monkey will stop throwing coconuts at me and come
down from the tree and help me out.

Clyde
has wanted me to hear the song of a white eyed vireo and yesterday
there was one chirping away in Wildwood Park. This bird takes notes
from other birds and combines them into a song that sounds like, "Quick,
give me the beer check." The song irritates the other birds.
I told Clyde
I knew why it is saying "Quick, give me the beer check." One of the
loudest most repetitive birds in that park is the towhee which says over
and over again, "Drink your tea." I think hearing that all day long
would make any bird want to say "Quick, give me the beer check." I
surprised it doesn't add, "I'm out of here."

upcoming presidential election really has me worried. I am concerned,
as always, that money is deciding the race for nomination. Here is a
cartoon from 1870 that certainly applies to 2016. As I have mentioned
before, Clyde always says to hold your nose and vote. Unless things
change soon I will need a space suit this time.
