I saw something on Facebook that must be a joke.   An African American is holding up a sign that says, Mothers should not have to worry that their sons will be killed every time they rob a bank.  The person holding the sign is not smiling and looks quite serious.  Clyde says it is a joke.  I guess I am foolish to think that it might not be a joke but nothing surprises me.

I fight with my computer all the time.  I have mentioned many times that it hates me but I am determined to get things done in spite of this helpful but irritating machine.

I now have artwork on the popular site Wanelo.  I have made a number of mistakes in my listings so I use the trash button to eliminate them.  They are not on my page but if I put my name in the search they are still there.  In the help section that question is not there.  I guess I will have to contact them.  Hope I can figure it out on my own.

Regardless, I am working real hard so I can get to the lake this afternoon!  That will put a smile on my face!

I am amazed at the number of phobias that are listed on the internet.  Since it is the internet I can't be sure they are true but they are there.  Fear of sitting and fear of mirrors are the two that fascinate me the most.  They have fancy names but I don't want to look them up right now.

Anyway, Clyde and I were discussing them on our walk yesterday and he came up with a great one.  Smackaphobia- fear of being smacked by someone.  That definitely should be added to the list!

Working on the third stage of Rolling Beauty and am not real happy with it.  I am going to take a good look at the first stage before I go any further.  In the process of pulling out the forms and adjusting color I seem to be losing some of the energy of the piece.  Art really is a crap shoot.  Right now I will claim victory and retreat until I can get into a better frame of mind.

The Word Man doesn't have a funny today but I know he will have one soon.  He isn't trying to come up with funnies for this blog he just naturally cracks me up all the time.  Anyway, I had to show him this great joke on Facebook.  Got a lot of likes for this one.

Line Dancing was great last night!  I finally got the hang of one that is rather difficult - at least difficult for me.  We had a good sized class and Tuesday the 25th we will be performing at the Train Station in Pulaski, VA!  Come on out!  We always have one easy dance we invite the audience to try with us!  Lots of fun and The Farmers Market has great stuff there!

Pleased to sell a print of Isle of Palms Sunset to a great Minnesota patron!  Love the shore and wish I could visit more often.  South Carolina has gorgeous beaches!

The other night we were talking about whales.  I have always been fascinated by the shore and marine life.  One of my favorite films is Blue Water White Death which was a documentary on the great white shark.

I said to Clyde that I saw a whale once off the Delaware coast when I was eighteen.  He said that was nothing, he would be seeing one in a few minutes.  He was about to take a shower.  Okay so he isn't as skinny as when we were first married but he is certainly isn't whale size.  LOL!

I hate to follow up a discouraging post about gun violence with a Monday Blues story but this is one irritating Monday.  We all have them.  I spent an hour with a computer operator at RU trying to get rid of some wierd announcement I get when I try to go to the site.

After a full hour of back and forth and his manipulation of my computer he said they were having a short and that was the last word I heard from him.

If he doesn't try to call me back it will be a little hard not to think he was making that up because he just couldn't solve the problem.  I will wait and see.  Now I have to log in to all my sites with pass words I have a hard time remembering.   This is not fun.

I have to go see about a rather sudden growth on my forehead later today and, to modify an old hit song, all she wants to do is paint!

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

Yesterday we were discussing music after church.  Our organist is great!  She also plays the piano and the guitar and was trained in voice!   I always thank her after church because I know how much work goes into music.  I play my piano every day.  Clyde has studied music more than I have and is familiar with the historical  development of the art.  He can play the guitar very well but doesn't read music.

We were talking about singing and how hard it would be to sing really well.  A singer can't drop a note the way pianists can and get away with it.  Clyde said that he would be dropping notes right and left and everyone would be headed for the door if he sang solo.  I don't think anyone is considering asking him to sing.

Everything is breaking all at once!  My bread machine practically blew up, our vacuum cleaner smoked and died and now my old Boom Box has boomed it's last boom!

 

Got to extract myself from this computer and shop!  If you remember the Dobie Gillis show then you remember Maynard's reaction to anyone that said work.  He would freak out and say the word like it was the end of the world.  That's about the same reaction I have to shopping.

Oh well,  I will take Clyde along so I don't buy some cheap junk.  He is careful to get something good.

Back from vacation and the ants are on the march once again.  I tried so hard to be careful about food items when we left.  I put anything they might want in the refrigerator.  But I left a box of Russel Stover's candy on the counter!

Yikes!  A trail of ants and a box full of ant covered chocolates.

I threw the chocolate away and they are still making the same trail to that spot on the counter.  I told Clyde to tell the ants the chocolate is gone.  He said the queen is probably yelling at the workers to get more so I told him to tell the queen the chocolate is gone.  He said if he knew where the queen was we wouldn't have an ant problem.

Ants, ants, ants! My kingdom for a pest free kitchen!

From now one when I go on a trip and am staying where I am promised Wifi service I am going to plan on not getting much done.  Either we live under a bad computer star or that promise is always false!

I try to cut back on computer stuff when I am away but I don't like it when I am cut off.  Oh well, as one of my friends said years ago, "What is the use of complaining?"  Some one will always complain louder.  Cheers!

Einstein was right.  Everything is relatives.  I love my relatives but we all have some that we just don't jive well with.  We just got back from a visit and I was a bit bothered by a few verbal jabs I received there.  Funny thing, on the way home at one of our stops I saw a book with this title.  People Can't Drive you Crazy if you don't give them the Keys.  I got to stop giving that one the keys!
