Blue Ridge Parkway Artist, Work in Progress, and That's a big Duh!

Blue Ridge Parkway Artist

I am on the third layer of my latest Kendall Expressions painting!  I have added a lot of linear accents and some color modifications.  I have signed it  but I am not sure if I want to change a few more things.  It is always hard to know when it is done.  I never get exactly what I want but I do get close!

 Work in Progress

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

Years ago someone mentioned to me that women often become more and more like their mothers as they age.  I was thinking about that the other day when I was brushing my teeth for the umpteenth  time.  I can't believe that I decided to ask Clyde what he thought about that saying as I flossed  my teeth.

My mother brushes her teeth four times a day and uses a different brush each time.  They she flosses and uses a water pick.  She says it takes her twenty minutes to do this due to her bridge work.  Of course, her determination to keep her teeth perfectly clean is also a reason for the duration of the event.

So I am standing in the kitchen with dental floss in my teeth asking Clyde is I was becoming more and more like my mother!  Well, that's a big duh!

Blue Ridge Parkway Artist

I am still working on my Suggestions Series!  I have no intention of stopping.  I am working on my Blue Ridge paintings at the same time and will have another Autumn Parkway painting up soon!

Here is my latest Suggestion painting.  This time as I was reacting to color and texture I saw a leaning sail to I decided to turn that into a turbulent ocean scene.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

Strange thing happened this evening.  We were watching TV when we both heard a strange sound.  I soon realized it was my stomach growling since I was very hungry.  Clyde said it sounded like a distant car crash.  Well, that's a new one!

Blue Ridge Parkway Artist, More Florals, and It won't do me any Damage!

Blue Ridge Parkway Artist

I am still going through my portfolio for florals to show here.  I like to use a theme on Wordpress and I have a lot of florals.  Chinese Orchids is one of my favorite florals!  The sensuous surface and magenta/green contrast go together so beautifully in this work!

Chinese Orchids   Original  14" x 10"         Oil Painting  $480

Prints on Paper, Canvas, Metal, Greeting Cards, Pillows, !phone and galaxy phone Cases Available at   KENDALL KESSLER ART

Orange Trumpet Flowers    Original Oil Painting has been Sold

Prints on Paper, Canvas, Metal, Greeting Cards, Pillows, !phone and galaxy phone Cases Available at   KENDALL KESSLER ART

Orange Trumpet Flower is an intense impasto painting.  The surface is quite elevated and I am especially pleased with the flowing motion in this one.

Life with the Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

A few days ago I mentioned a bruise between my knuckles on my left hand.  I suggested to my husband that maybe I smacked him when we were asleep.  His reply was that was why he sleeps to well.  Well, yesterday I found a large bruise on the big toe on my right foot so I suggested to my husband that maybe I kicked him the other night when he was causing the walls to fall down with his snoring.

He doesn't snore often but when he does, look out!  His reply was that kicking him wouldn't do me any good and definitely no damage to him.  Is that the reply of a hard head?

LOL

I am so stressed for time today and I want to be sure to promote my specials before they are over at 5:00 that I am just going to show one favorite floral.  Got to work on a new Youtube while the guys are out of the house.  It is hard to make a Youtube with TVs blaring away!

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

The other day right after painting I noticed a purple patch between one of my knuckles on the left hand.  I knew right away that it wasn't paint.  It was sore to the touch.  I do not remember doing anything to cause a bruise so I said to Clyde that maybe I smacked him in my sleep with the back of my hand.  His immediate response was  sure, that is why I sleep so well.  Joker!
