Clyde
and I are still stumbling around and his fever is back. Mine is
definitely gone so I am trying to do a little more today. Trying not to
over do but that is like asking the sun not to rise.
Here
are some recent Suggestion paintings! The series is really keeping me
busy, just not this week. Looking forward to getting back to it and
starting a new Blue Ridge Parkway Painting!
Where is the Fox? Original Acrylic Painting NFS
Prints on Paper, Canvas, Metal, Pillows, !phone and galaxy phone cases Available at KENDALL KESSLER ART
Where is the Fox is another sensuous, colorful painting from my series,
Suggestions. I am starting with an abstract expressionist surface and
then looking for forms that appear in the paint. This time I didn't see
any nebulous shape until the painting had dried. I looked over at it and
saw an abstract fox at the top the painting and then notice three bird
like shapes in the center and at the bottom. I brought all of the shapes
out a little stronger and am very pleased with the effect of a swirling
painting that has to be sorted out by the viewer.

Flower Spiral Original Acrylic Painting NFS
Prints on Paper, Canvas, Metal, Pillows, !phone and galaxy phone cases Available at KENDALL KESSLER ART

Flower Spiral is another sensuous, colorful painting from my series,
Suggestions. I am starting with an abstract expressionist surface and
then looking for forms that appear in the paint. This time a zinnia like
shape began to appear so I made it into a spiral flower scene. I am
especially pleased with the bold blue in this one.
Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
A
whole week without bird watching. I know my poor husband is suffering
as much from that as from this horrible bug. I live to paint and he
lives to write poetry and observe nature. I'm surprised the birds
aren't lined up outside the window and asking what is going on?
Anyway
this illness has made me think about how unfair germs are. You can't
see them. I think something this nasty and dangerous should be visible
to the naked eye. I mentioned that to Clyde and he said what good would
that do. They would just flash an obscene gesture and attack you
anyway.
Good Point!

My husband and I have been very sick for days. This blog was supposed to be here on Monday. Better late than never!
A few hours ago I sold a print of Dream Horse to a great New York patron! That cheered me up!
Anyway,
here are two more portfolio selections. The first one is another one of
my still lifes that I am very pleased with and the other one is
another whimsical painting from my Suggestion Series!
Apples and Flowers Original 9" x 12" Oil Painting $225
Prints on Paper, Canvas, Metal, Greeting Cards, Pillows, !phone and galaxy phone Cases Available at KENDALL KESSLER ART
"Apples
and Flowers" is an intense, intimate still life of golden delicious
apples on a floral cloth with the same colors as the fruit and the bowl.
The colors are strong and the painting has a cheerful impact on the
viewer. The color and textures are continually modulated throughout the
work. The painting is in a black composite frame.
Stepping Out Original Acrylic Painting NFS
Prints on Paper, Canvas, Metal, Greeting Cards, Pillows, !phone and galaxy phone Cases Available at KENDALL KESSLER ART

Stepping Out is another sensuous, colorful painting from my series,
Suggestions.
I am starting with an abstract expressionist surface and then looking
for forms that appear in the paint. This time a shoe like shape began to
appear so I made it into a festive shoe scene with abstract party
streamers.I love the party mood in this one.
Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
Yesterday
I was dragging. Too much to do as always. I decided to be lazy
anyway. I didn't clean up until before I fixed dinner and then I just
left the dishes and went on to do other things, including watching an
old Peter Sellers movie. I never watch a movie in one sitting so I will
finish that today.
Clyde
is feeling better and when he saw the dirty dishes he started to wash
them. I came into the kitchen and told him I was revolting. I was
expecting the not anymore than usual reply but I guess he was too tired
for a retort.
Anyway sometimes you just have to come to a halt and relax. The work is always there waiting for you.

I
am so stressed for time today and I want to be sure to promote my
specials before they are over at 5:00 that I am just going to show one
favorite floral. Got to work on a new Youtube while the guys are out of
the house. It is hard to make a Youtube with TVs blaring away!
Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
The
other day right after painting I noticed a purple patch between one of
my knuckles on the left hand. I knew right away that it wasn't paint.
It was sore to the touch. I do not remember doing anything to cause a
bruise so I said to Clyde that maybe I smacked him in my sleep with the
back of my hand. His immediate response was sure, that is why I sleep so well. Joker!
