Where did this day go?  I am finally back to this computer to finish this blog and then check on some other sites.  Beautiful day!  I saw it from the window as I did a lot of household chores.  

Hope I can get out there before we get out Mountain Spring Freeze.  Spring always just about changes it mind in the mountains and then it finally decides to go ahead with it.  Looking forward to summer!

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

We are now waiting on out third contact to get our lawn mowed that is so high it could hide Big Foot. Clyde thought he saw him there when I said the yard was getting scary.

The second contact said he would not be able to get his equipment through our back yard gate but he contacted someone else that still hasn't called us.

I asked Clyde if he ever got a text back from Big Foot and he said Big Foot was ignoring us.  He is probably down at the river fishing with our third contact.

Clyde doesn't want me mowing it because our mower is tricky to start so I think I am going to go get a scythe.

Time to take a blade and knife it down.

Well, I am finally ready to finish this blog and send it out.  So many things to do today that it got lost in the shuffle.  I am pleased to present the second stage of my latest New River painting! A while back I talked about our awful mouse that kept clicking off and ate batteries like they were made of cheese. Then Clyde bought a great mouse that I named Zippy, the wonder mouse!  It zooms all over the screen, hardly ever needs a battery and still works like new!  Yesterday we spent most of the day, with help, setting up a new computer, printer, and scanner.

The Radford Public Library can breath a sigh of relief.  I won't be getting prints there anymore and complaining about how dark they are.  I told one of the clerks and she probably told the others so they could do a celebration dance.  Just kidding! Well, who knows?

Anyway, the new stuff is great, except for the mouse. It is slow, awkward, and I just don't like it so I turned it off and turned Zippy back on.  Great to have an excellent little rodent!  If Zippy ever acts up we will get Zippy 2!

I am at the arm wrestling stage of my latest oil painting. First layer is always fun then it gets hard but I still love what I do.  If it were easy, it would be boring.  Always an exciting experience! Glad I am preserving the layers to they are never completely lost!

Okay, the guy that is going to take care of our lawn that really does look like it needs a hay baler still has not showed up.

In Wednesday's  blog I said I had mentioned to Clyde that it is looking scary out there and he said maybe Big Foot it lurking behind the grass.  I said I thought I saw him.

Yesterday he said maybe Big Foot could do the job.

Today I asked him if Big Foot was going to chew the grass down and he said he texted him.  Waiting for Big Foot to mow our lawn.  How many people can say that?

I am so pleased to back to oils!  Been walking with Clyde and getting Spring inspirations!  The first one is a beautiful New River view from Riverview Park.  I have the first layer done and anxious to get to the second.  Love oil paint!  I am also going to start a pastel portrait soon.  So much to do!  So little time.

Clyde was able to walk up a flight of stairs yesterday without pain!  Yes! His knee is improving so I think I should be able to get a funny out of him.

I told him I was completely dry in regards to funnies.  How do I get wet again?

He said I should go outside in our present deluge, go on down to the river and jump in and tell my jokes to the fish.

Okay, that was a weird one, but it is all I got on a drizzly Monday so I took it.

Great heaven joke on the internet!  A guy is trying to check in but St. Peter tells him he almost made it, but those fish stories and pictures on Facebook. Really?
