We had a great time watching Time Bandits last night at Christ Lutheran!  Time Bandits is a great History and Theology spoof that Clyde and I have seen many times.  Everyone loved it.  Great comedy!

So glad  Zippy the Wonder Mouse is working again!  Clyde said it may just need a new battery. That was it.  I guess that is why it was zooming all over the screen in places I was not pointing to.  It was looking for something to eat.

I know that is ridiculous, but with all my computer adventures it is hard not to think of it as a living creature determined to irritate me within an inch of my sanity.

Oh well, one computer problem at a time. I do believe in evil spirits in the kitchen.  I now have proof.  I placed the one grocery bag with the eggs and light bulbs on the table where there was plenty of room.  When I got back with another bag, it was on the floor with a broken bulb.

Now you know that was some sort of Irritation Demon determined to ruin my day. LOL!

As I have mentioned before I have switched to organic food for the most part.  It won't keep us from dying but I think our chances of getting cancer from pesticides is greatly reduced.  Not afraid to die.  Terrified of cancer treatment.  Anyway, I bought an ice cream and yogurt machine because I can't find organic frozen yogurt in the store.

 

There are great selections for organic ice cream but none for frozen yogurt.  Since I make our bread now, I didn't really want to do this but I thought I would give it a try.  These devices are great but there is still a lot of work involved, especially with the yogurt maker.

 

The yogurt has to soak for 2-4 hours on a cloth and then ingredients have to be cooked on a stove and frozen over night.  The machine just kind of shakes it around and then, of course, there is clean up. Anyway, most of the ice cream selections are twice the number of calories of what is in the store.

I tried the lowfat strawberry yogurt and am not happy at all.  I guess it has to be eaten right after it is made.  I froze it and now it takes a chisel to get it out of the container.  Yuck!  The fruit is crunchy with ice and I don't like the taste at all. I have to leave it out for a full hour before it is soft enough to get out of the box.  Can't heat it up.

Clyde said I should put it on a rack and buy a bunsen burner.

Ha ha.  I think I will take my chances with store bought frozen yogurt , smart alec.

There is a great joke on the internet about cultured bacteria.  The two bacteria are discussing different operas and which one is the best.  Love it!

I looks like Zippy the Wonder Mouse is starting to have problems.  I am beginning to think a computer mouse has a shorter life than a real mouse.  I guess we just need to give it a bath.  It is wandering across the screen and not landing right without a lot of assistance which may confirm the old age theory.

Must have dementia.  I hope we can get it back to the wonder it once was.  The new one that came with our new computer is slow and awkward and I don't even like the shape of it.  That one is a loser to begin with.

Oh well.  At times like these I like to look for jokes.  There is a great cartoon with a wife asking her husband who is hunched over a computer to help her open a jar.  His response was download and install java.

Yes!  Our third lawn mowing contact showed up and did a great job!  He had to take down part of the fence to get his huge mower into our back yard but he put it right back up.  Finally!  I am no longer scared that I will be attacked by deer ticks if I walk in my yard and Big Foot is no where in sight!  He can't hide behind our grass now.

On to more crazy stuff from the Word Man.  Last night we were talking about bumper stickers.  Neither one of us uses them.  Not sure why.  We just don't, but I do like to read funny ones.  The word bumper prompted some word play from Clyde.  What do you call a lazy, no-good cat?  A bumpurr.

Where did this day go?  I am finally back to this computer to finish this blog and then check on some other sites.  Beautiful day!  I saw it from the window as I did a lot of household chores.  

Hope I can get out there before we get out Mountain Spring Freeze.  Spring always just about changes it mind in the mountains and then it finally decides to go ahead with it.  Looking forward to summer!

We are now waiting on out third contact to get our lawn mowed that is so high it could hide Big Foot. Clyde thought he saw him there when I said the yard was getting scary.

The second contact said he would not be able to get his equipment through our back yard gate but he contacted someone else that still hasn't called us.

I asked Clyde if he ever got a text back from Big Foot and he said Big Foot was ignoring us.  He is probably down at the river fishing with our third contact.

Clyde doesn't want me mowing it because our mower is tricky to start so I think I am going to go get a scythe.

Time to take a blade and knife it down.
