I
am looking forward to getting into the studio to work on another
Skyline Beauty painting and another Kendall Expressions painting. One
of these days I will take a break and get back to my oil paintings. I
am really in the acrylic groove right now so I will continue with them a
little longer and then it is back to what I love the most - sensuous
oil paintings of this beautiful area of Virginia! Below is one of my
favorites!

Years
ago Clyde made a comment as we all went to vote that I like very much.
He said we need to hold our noses and vote. I wish that were not true,
but it usually is. I am glad that in this presidential election there
is one candidate that I hope will get to be on the ticket but I doubt
that will happen.
Anyway, I was surprised
to see the same phrase in The Roanoke Times online news today. The gist
of the article is that Obama is receiving a rise in popularity due to a
lot of different positive factors. The writer then goes on to say that
"as many in the United States hold their noses as we search for the
next president, they're increasingly warming to the one they already
have..."
So Clyde isn't the only one that uses that phrase to prepare to vote! Love it!

am so pleased to sell another print of Cloud Swirl over the Peaks of
Otter to a great Connecticut patron! The Peaks of Otter is such a
beautiful place.
My family and I have been to
the resort several times and hiked down from Sharp Top. The deer are
so used to people that they wander around the grounds with no fear of
people.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
Oftentimes
Clyde and I talk about the changes in our bodies with age. I am working
hard to try to counter some of the physical problems with yoga and he
walks for miles every day.
All the exercise in
the world will not stop the ravages of time and I have noticed quite a
difference in my hands in the winter. In the summer they look pretty
good but when the weather is dry the wrinkles are so pronounced.
I
showed them to Clyde last night and he said,"That is nothing. My hands
are so wrinkled that they are looking for new places to put wrinkles."
He groaned when I said I was going to put that in my blog. Well, I thought it was funny!
