Blue Ridge Parkway Artist

I am still not sure what I want to do next.  I have so many ideas for new works that it is hard to decide.  I have a lot of ideas for new Blue Ridge paintings but I think I want to do another Kendall Expressions painting right now.  I miss oils but I am having a great time exploring acrylics. 

Anyway, to the studio!

Life with The Word and Bird Man

We like to watch Judge Judy.  I like it more than Clyde but we both get a kick out of her antics and some of the cases are hilarious!  So far, knock on wood, we have not had to appear in court for any disputes.  I would never appear on TV in a court case but I have read that these people get paid a hefty fee to have their case tried in front of ten million viewers.  No wonder they appear there!

Anyway, the other day two litigants cracked me up on the way out.  It was a couple that had split up and the woman was arguing that the guy stole her TV.  He said he paid for it.  Judge Judy ruled in favor of the guy and on the way out their comments were perfectly audible.

You are a liar!  You are going to Hell!

I wanted to get back to my latest large Blue Ridge Parkway Vista but my son is home sick and I have to take him to the doctor during the good light time.  Oh well, I have plenty of other things to do that are not light dependent.  Here is one of my few watermedia works.

Near Reeds Again is the companion piece to Near Reeds which was done in oil pastel.  Years ago I did a show called Dual Images.  I did the same subject matter twice but in a different medium.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

Yesterday we had a young friend help us out with our new TV problem.  Our provider sent us a letter stating that we had to add some sort of transformer box to all our sets or lose channels.  As usual, the instructions didn't make any sense to us so we needed to call in the reserves.

It turns out that after the box installation we need to use two remotes to turn on the sets!  The old one is used to turn it on and off and the new remote is used to change channels.  If that order is not used the set is scramble and does not work.

We put labels on the remotes and guess what?  I picked up the wrong one, the one that we used to use to change channels and the TV died right before my eyes.  Clyde does not remember what our friend said to do to restore the set so we will have to call him.

I also had him help me with my software that is supposed to help me with Twitter retweets.  I had missed one simple step and was so glad that was fixed.  Well, it still isn't working.  I hate being so technologically challenged. 

Clyde says we are technologically not even there, let alone challenged. He says if TV and phones get anymore complicated we will probably be using smoke signals and throwing rocks.  If the smoke signals don't work we can throw rocks to get attention.  LOL!

There was a day when a set was turned on and the dial changed the channels.  What was wrong with that? I only want a few channels.  The digital takeover forced us to get cable because we lost PBS.
