I don't usually write a to do list. I try to keep it all in my head but yesterday I did write one. If I have an appointment I have to hang a note from the entrance to the kitchen so I see if every time I go in there which is quite often. If I don't do that I will miss appointments.
I sent a file of my latest commission to the patron and he said he loved it! Commissions are tricky but I have had great success with them. I still have to work on the lettering and some fine tuning. Check it out below!
Anyway, I have quite a Monday list so I had better get to everything. Cheers on a grueling Monday!

I stay out of conversations on politics, especially these days. The country is so divided on how well the present administration is handling things that I would rather not get into an argument. I am not giving my opinion on Trump here but I did see a very funny comment on Facebook about the wall. I don't mean to offend anyone.
The comment was that most immigrants enter the country on airplanes. Don't tell Trump. He will want to build a roof.
I mentioned that to Clyde and he said he didn't believe the immigrants were hitching rides on airplanes. They would have to have the money for it. Anyway, I thought it was a fun joke!

I am real pleased to sell a print of one of my favorite family portraits to a great CA patron! This painting is very special to me. My husband would rock our son to sleep lying down and most of the time whenever he picked him up he would fall to sleep in his arts. I guess he associated sleep with Daddy's arms.

As I have mentioned before I love movies! I get a lot of great ones from our library and netflix. I can hardly stand to watch TV with all the commercials. It usually takes me several days to watch one due to the fact that I have so much to do and am a workaholic. Hard for me to sit still for the whole movie.
Anyway, I highly recommend Permanent which is a very funny comedy about a young girl that ends up starting the school year with an awful permanent she can do nothing about.
There is a lot more to the movie and one line will live with me forever! I told it to Clyde and he agreed! A lady in therapy gives her definition of family.
A family is like a plant. You water it and hope you didn't get a weed. Love it!

I have very loud roofers right over my head right now and am having a hard time getting any work done. It sounds like the roof is about to cave in. Hope they do a good job and hope they finish soon!

Clyde is still losing weight slowly but surely! He has about eight pounds to go and then he will decide if that is enough. I figured out what he should weigh and we are going with that but he still may have a little extra to shed. I do hope this takes the pressure off of his knee so it will get completely well! I was teasing him last night about the diet.
What are you going to do when you lose all the extra weight?
Buy a large pizza.
You can't eat bread.
Okay, I'll slide the toppings onto some rice cakes.
Yuck!
I know he won't do that for two reasons. The first reason is me. The second reason is he is determined to keep the weight off - so pizzaless rice cakes it is!

Since one of our dilapidated cars is about 50 years old we decided it was time to get on over to a dealership and get a new one. We were hoping for $500 on the trade in but only got $300. And I spent two hours cleaning that thing out! There were bags of doggie treats under the seat that must have fallen out of my son's girlfriend's shopping bags.
Of course, that was not all I found under the seat and in the cracks. What a mess! I had to use clorox on the floor mats to get the stink out.
We found the car we wanted and proudly brought it home!
Even though I think I have a lot in common with Buddhists, and just want a car to get me from point A to point B, it is fun to have a new car!
We drove it the park and I was so careful. I told other motorists to watch out for my new car even though they couldn't hear me.
Back off!
No scrapes today!
I took forever to make a left. I could see a car way in the distance and it was not going to get near my new car!
I don't like to put bumper stickers on a car so maybe I should make a flag with the words, CAREFUL, NEW CAR! and just wave it at other motorists.
If that doesn't get me put away I don't know what will.

This time of the year I often take pictures for painting ideas. Most of my paintings are interpretive works from photographs that I take but sometimes I get one that I prefer to present in my Creative photograph series.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
Unlike a lot of people, especially kids, I love broccoli! I look forward to Tuesday night when we get Chinese and I always get a broccoli dish. Actually, to be more accurate, I always get chicken and broccoli but it is embarrassing that I always get the same thing.
Nothing is as good as chicken and broccoli. Anyway, sometimes the broccoli is fantastic and sometimes it is a little less then fantastic and I am getting to the point that I can tell by looking before the first bite.
I told Clyde I must be some sort of broccoli psychic. He said maybe I am a broccoli whisperer. I think that is a bit much.
Oh well, there are a lot of great broccoli jokes on the internet. I love the one where the broccoli says I don't like you either!

A long time ago I heard the saying about the only two things that are certain in life - death and taxes. Well, after many decades of standing in front of a sink, I would like to add, dirty dishes. I saw a cute saying on the internet about dirty dishes. If you can't do dishes, don't eat.
Also, there was one about using edible plates! That sounds like a great idea but then the glasses, utensils and pots would have to be edible and I don't think my guys would go for that.
Clyde has been working diligently to reduce the size of his pot.
I don't think I could get him to eat one.
