I wanted to paint today but the day got away from me as I have been working on Youtube stuff. My channel is growing and I am seeing a lot of interesting videos by friends and friends to be! Some Youtubers add great music.
I used to do that but now that I am filming Demos I think the music would be too distracting. One friend had the greatest Jazz up today! I always like to listen to Jazz, such an amazing kind of music.
Anyway, I will get to paint tomorrow and the studio clean-up is going slowly but I will get that done.

Well, I have been such a workalohic lately that I have caused a hemorrhage in my right eye. No serious problem, just an eye that looks like someone punched me out. I am spending too much time on the computer presenting my artwork and I think the hemorrhage was from eye strain.
Much to my surprise, people can get this eye problem from laughing. I certainly do a lot of that but I think eye strain or too much yoga caused this. I did a Youtube Yoga session yesterday that would have brought Godzilla down. That crazy teacher went from Downward Facing Dog to a Hand Stand! She did, I didn't.
Clyde says the computer is my boss.
It is not. It is just a machine.
How do you know? Maybe it goes out for donuts in the middle of the night so it can have more energy to torture you.
Do you think we are living in the Matrix?
You never know.
Ha ha.

I have been spending so much time working on my Youtube channel that I have stopped listening to great Youtube music. Decided today to get back to that and right now I am listening to an orchestra featuring violinist David Garrett performing a favorite Tchaikovsky Allegro Moderato opus 35. I love all kinds of music just like I like all kinds of art but my favorite music is Classical music, especially music from the Romantic Era.
I am pleased that I finished another Youtube today and will upload it on Monday. I told my husband I missed swimming and thought I would go do some laps at The Aquatic Center. NOT!!!!! Wish I could but I think it will be quite some time before they re-open.

Like a lot of people right now I am taking Yoga class through Zoom classes and some Youtube classes. Some of those teachers require enough Downward Facing Dogs to make me bark and yelp but I am getting used to it.
The other day I couldn't find my strap but my Zoom teacher doesn't usually use one. Of course, we needed one that day so I stretched apart my sweater. Hope I didn't ruin it.
So after class I went to the spot by my piano where I keep it and complained to Clyde that it was not there.
Maybe it slithered under the piano.
It can't do that.
How do you know?
Because it is a lifeless instrument of torture not a live one.
Well, I finally found it on the bed in the computer room under Clyde's coat. I guess it slithered under there. LOL!

Really behind the eight ball today! So much to do and I have hardly gotten to anything due to a long, important phone call. It is amazing how one change in a schedule can really mess things up. Oh well, I am still moving forward to straightening things out but the morning light is gone so no painting today. Hope to get to my latest wildflower painting tomorrow!

Clyde and I don't really like using our cell phones that much. We prefer to communicate on the computer or in person. In person! What's that? Right now it certainly doesn't exist but we will get back to that soon, I hope.
We both see lots of people typing away on phones with their thumbs. That isn't for me. I don't like working with that tiny screen.
Clyde says they are going to get carpal tunnel of the thumb only.
Yikes! I'll bet that is next!

Well, I never thought I would live to see the day that I am selling prints of my paintings on face masks! I have sold my prints on a lot of household items and clothes but now my work is on face masks.
I have included a link to my most popular wildflower painting, Natural Rhythm on a mask below. They are $13.50.
Anyway, I am very pleased with the first stage of my latest wildflower painting. I am taking a different approach to this one and I will just see what happens. So far it has a nice swaying motion that I like very much.
I may upload a first stage of it and I may not. Sometimes I do that but this one has a lot of work to do and I don't know if I want prints of the first layer available. Oh well! The studio is getting cleaned up and organized at the same time! Now that is a first!

This virus is devastating. There was only one small bag of one of our staples, Russell Stover pecan delights at kroger! We will have to ration them. Also, for two weeks I have had to eat organic regular spaghetti instead of Angel Hair!
What next? Big time LOL!!! I don't mean to make light of this very serious situation and I do feel for all the people that are experiencing horrible hardships but I love to laugh. Always good to joke around in these difficult times.
Poor Clyde is noodleless right now. Our order for the kind he can eat still hasn't arrived. Usually that company gets stuff to us faster than greased lightening. He may be in for another spaghetti on potatoes night. He did like that but spaghetti without noodles is just meat sauce.
I think we will survive!

I was so pleased to see one minister's great solution to holding services with his congregation! He got on the roof of the church and the parishioners were in their cars! What a smart guy! I wish all congregations that were determined to meet together would follow his example.
We need to keep our distance right now. Also, nothing wrong with online services. I have been playing the piano at our church for years and will be happy to play again but it is nice to have a break. There are over 800 hymns and I certainly don't know them all.

As I have mentioned before, Clyde has a weird disease that prevents him from eating a lot of foods in all food groups except meat. He was in the habit of picking up a number of items at a specialty store but stopped that when this awful virus took over.
One of the things he can't eat is flour so we get special kinds of noodles for spaghetti. We ran out yesterday and he asked for potatoes as a side dish substitute. Our order in the mail still hasn't arrived.
When dinner was ready I had to tease him a little.
Okay, man without a noodle, dinner is served.
Are you saying I am a man without a noodle that is going to eat the whole kitten kaboodle?
Right. Why did I marry a writer? Enjoy your potato spaghetti!

My studio is finally getting cleaned up. Now that I am not getting out very much, the mess in this house and studio is staring me right in the face and I don't have an excuse to ignore it. I am able to get to my painting, music, and computer chores and still have time to clean up. I don't know how many layers of dust have accumulated but those layers are bothering me now.
You would think someone that is allergic to dust and mold would take better care of a house. Well, when I only have time to paint or clean, guess which activity wins out? I don't like this quarantine any better than anyone else, but it does have this one advantage.

As always, Clyde gets up very early to check out wildlife around Radford. I doubt there are many people that do that on a regular basis or at all. He is quite the dedicated naturalist.

Just remember, don't talk to the otters. Remember the time you did that and they started to come after you. You must have said something nasty about their mother in otter talk.

Wow! You know you are getting a good Yoga work out when your arm pits sweat during all those Downward Facing Dogs! Like I always say, I take class because I can't make myself get a really good work out at home. Of course, right now I am always working out at home. My great teacher sends classes with Zoom so I have someone telling me what to do. I do yoga on the other days but nothing like what we did today.

What a workaholic. Now that I am not going out much I have found more work to do. Oh well, good to be busy during this sad time. I woke up today thinking about all the things I want to do and was trying to think of that phrase that means Seize the Day.

I don't think I have ever wanted to be at the beach more than I do right now! I'm sure I am not the only one. We were not planning on going this year due to some obligations we have to attend to but now that this virus is making it impossible for people to be at the beach, I want to be there more than ever! I want to walk along the shore and stare at the beautiful breakers and wildlife. I hope the pandemic will be over by July and people
can get back to typical summer activities. I will certainly be at Claytor Lake when it is safe to swim again.

I told Clyde this pandemic is causing me to retreat to a more primitive state. I just ate a Russells Stover pecan delight and DID NOT BRUSH MY TEETH! I am obsessive about cleaning my teeth so this is quite a step backwards!
I used to tease my mother about how careful she was with teeth cleaning. Our family dentist always told me that her teeth were the cleanest teeth he ever saw. Well, I think I may be more careful than her now but this pandemic is really disrupting my life.
Who knows what's next? LOL!
