Well, I knew I would not get through with my latest painting without some art or arm wrestling but it wasn't a hair pulling time, just a few set backs and I am looking forward to tomorrow rather than wishing I just played the piano and never picked up a brush.  I love to paint but it can be difficult at times.  My husband gave me a great compliment on the progress so far and that helped a lot. 

Anyway, I am still so worried over this virus and hope and pray I don't get it from someone at the grocery store that refuses to wear a mask and doesn't know they are carrying it.  I am practically pole vaulting away from people.  I am amazed at  how some people think it is over when many states are reporting a great increase in cases.

I usually stay out of politics because it has been my experience that people do not want to calmly debate issues. They insist they are right and people they talk to should just agree with them.  Well, I am going to make an exception and  comment on the current administration.  Our president should not be having mass rallies during a pandemic.  He can have virtual ones.  I think he should take this pandemic more seriously and listen to medical experts regarding the duration of this catastrophe. 

There. I said it and I am entitled to my opinion.  No one has to agree with me and I will not get into an argument over this.  Please wear a mask and practice social distancing. 

As you can see I am getting into fall scenes right now.  My current painting is a fall painting of The Peaks of Otter lodge.

Still no art wrestling regarding the progress of my latest painting. I meant to say arm wrestling but art wrestling works good, too.  I have completed three major layers and will hopefully finish the final one next week.  Hope things keep on going smoothly. 

I think after I complete this large oil painting I will take care of some problem works that I have been meaning to get to and add them to my portfolio.  I am still slowly getting the studio better organized then it has ever been!  I have notes all over the place so I won't have to hunt things down.  Maybe I can even figure out how to get Aperture to correctly export the file size of some slides I still have not scanned. 

Anyway, I am very discouraged over a lot of people's response to the Pandemic. It is not over. We can't just get tired of it and act like there isn't a problem.  I see people without face masks.  If they think this is a hoax, why can't they wear one to put the rest of us that do not think it is a hoax at ease?  I think that would be common courtesy. 

I don't get into these arguments on Facebook but when I see a post that I think is important to share, I share it and ignore the negative comments.  I shared one with the recommendations of Dr. Fauci and one person said he was the virus.  Others said he doesn't know what he is talking about.  We need to respect those that have extensively studied disease. 

As a fourth grade teacher told me years ago.  Are we going to get any stupider?  I am beginning to wonder.  Check out my latest Youtube above!

Well, I am pleased that I am having no problem finding a very important staple in the grocery store - Russell Stover Pecan Delights.  LOL!  We both really do have a thing about good chocolate. 

Clyde likes dark chocolate more than milk chocolate. I can't stand dark chocolate.  I would rather shove a mint in my mouth. 

Anyway, I saw something real cute on Facebook about chocolate.  If you can't remember my name, say chocolate and I will turn around.  Oh yes!!!

I don't have much to say today.  I am glad that Virginia residents are complying with our governor's guidelines in phase one of the re-opening of our state.  Virginia beach people are following the guidelines which I don't think is the case in some of the other beaches in the US.  I have lived in Virginia my whole life and I am proud of people's response to the restrictions and very glad our governor is a doctor! 

I am so pleased with my latest wildflower painting!  It came together and it may not be perfect but it is close!  I learned something about the medium ,as always, and think I will apply what I learned to  a new mountainscape or some other kind of landscape. 

Don't know yet but I will soon! Got to paint!

I like to have something funny here but I saw something on Facebook that I thought was such a good definition of Christianity that I thought I would put that here. Clyde and I are Christians and we would like to go back to church but not if the congregation will be at risk for this awful virus. This bishop said it all!

I have been spending so much time working on my Youtube channel that I have stopped listening to great Youtube music.  Decided today to get back to that and right now I am listening to an orchestra featuring violinist David Garrett performing a favorite Tchaikovsky Allegro Moderato opus 35.  I love all kinds of music just like I like all kinds of art but my favorite music is Classical music, especially music from the Romantic Era. 

I am pleased that I finished another Youtube today and will upload it on Monday.  I told my husband I missed swimming and thought I would go do some laps at The Aquatic Center.  NOT!!!!!  Wish I could but I think it will be quite some time before they re-open.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

Like a lot of people right now I am taking Yoga class through Zoom classes and some Youtube classes.  Some of those teachers require enough Downward Facing Dogs to make me bark and yelp but I am getting used to it. 

The other day I couldn't find my strap but my Zoom teacher doesn't usually use one.  Of course, we needed one that day so I stretched apart my sweater. Hope I didn't ruin it. 

So after class I went to the spot by my piano where I keep it and complained to Clyde that it was not there. 

Maybe it slithered under the piano. 

It can't do that. 

How do you know? 

Because it is a lifeless instrument of torture not a live one. 

Well, I finally found it on the bed in the computer room under Clyde's coat.  I guess it slithered under there.  LOL!
