Still haven't gotten to the second stage of my latest Center of my Mind painting. I did include the first stage in the Youtube at the top! Please check it out! I am trying to post a Youtube every week to get more attention for my work there. Youtube is a hard nut to crack. Some people actually make a great living with their videos just by posting them there.
I can't imagine that! I have looked at a number of these very successful channels and sometimes I can see why but sometimes I am amazed at their success. I guess I shouldn't be this honest but I'll bet there are others that would agree with me. Oh well, I keep trying to get viewers for my channel but it is difficult. Too many other things to do and the most important task is to keep painting so that is next on the list.

My strong visual memory is bugging me as usual. My mind is a photo album on steroids. Everything and everyone is always flipping through my head and I wish I could stop it but maybe that is a price artist's pay for their ability to create. I don't know. It would be interesting if someone did a study on it. I know it is the reason I have a hard time listening to someone that says more than one or two sentences. I get distracted by what is going on in my mind. I use to try to convince people that think all artists are crazy they were wrong. Now, I am not so sure. Oh well. I may be nuts but I am a well functioning nut and I can't wait to get into the studio!

Anyone that knows my curmudgeon husband knows he does not like technology. I am sure I have mentioned that his solution to computer problems is to open the window and let gravity do the work. Well, with all the aggravation with our printer, cache, and other assorted problems he has a new solution.
Tie the computer to a rope and drag it down the street. Call it the Information Super Highway and watch it crunch.

Looking forward to the last Center of My Mind painting! After this one I will move on to something else. I love all levels of abstraction but I like representational the best. Thinking of either a floral or a large landscape. Not sure yet. This last Center of My Mind painting will be 18"x24". The others are 9"x12".

Still working on Music without Words paintings and looking forward to one more, this time a large one with a lot of depth. I know that the illusion of depth is the main reason I like to work from nature most of the time.
Since I like that effect in my representational works I think it will be a good idea to incorporate depth in a non-figurative one. I have some ideas in my head and I hope to start tomorrow. Today has been a whirlwind of computer work that is still not done. Hope to get finished soon but I usually work in the evenings, too.
Oh well, this is the life I have chosen. If I could give up painting I wouldn't be working so hard to promote it but I can't give it up so back to promo!

Yesterday I was washing dishes when I remembered I did not have my glasses on. I can't get them clean without my glasses. I was so surprised when I remembered they were on my head I had to run and tell Clyde.
Clyde, I now know for sure there is hope for me.
You got a big enough shovel to send me out the door?
No, I remembered I had my glasses on my head and didn't run all over the house to find them. And they don't make shovels that big.
Maybe you can take two snow shovels and attach them together.
Too much work. Back to the dishes.

Such beautiful weather! This must be what it is like in Hawaii! I still want hotter swimming weather but this will certainly do for now! I now have Turning Inward on my website! Still staring at the rain. I will be glad when the sunny weather comes back. I am having a hard time getting any artwork done right now due to various family matters. But I did photograph my latest Center of My Mind painting in the first stage which may be the last stage. We'll see.
Anyway, it is pouring outside and I hope it lets up when I go to Line Dance Class. I do Yoga twice a week and love it when the little clock the teacher uses is visible. Can't wait to namaste right on out of there. It does great things for the body but I don't like it.
I wonder if there are people that do Yoga and actually like it. One of the students in the class likes to say we should start with a Yoga nap. We never do. I guess that is his nirvana that will never be realized in class.
