I love my Suggestion series and am also in the second stage of a new Blue Ridge painting. I have a number of ideas for new ones and then I have another idea that I think will be popular. So pleased to sell another print of Richmond on the James to a great Georgia patron! This certainly is a very popular painting from my Skyline Beauty series that I hope to get back to soon! Right now I am working on a demo Youtube and new Blue Ridge paintings. I always love to return to the Blue Ridge for inspiration and the painting experience is different every time.
The atmosphere is so elusive and the constant push and pull of warm and cool colors always mistify me. I agree with Claude Monet that we can't really reproduce nature due to the constantly changing atmosphere but it is a great experience to try. It is always, first and foremost a creation of mine. I express myself in my work. I do not labor over nature.
I love nature and use it in my paintings, not the other way around!

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
I have become very worried about black bears. The population is thriving and Clyde has had encounters with them over the years when he worked part time with the Forest Service.
I decided to buy those bear sprays just in case he or I ever have a bad encounter with one.
On our vacation there were signs to be sure to tie up trash. Help us to keep our bears wild.
Before we went out to take some pictures I asked Clyde if he had figured out how to use the spray. He said no and would just ask one of the bears how to use it.
Arggh! He hates to drive but has no fear of bears. Go figure!

The other day I had just gotten off the floor from my yoga mat when Clyde came in and kissed me.
How nice! A handsome man walks in the room and kisses me.
Who? When?
You, you boob, just now.
You said handsome.
You are handsome.
Then why is the mirror on strike and the older one crashed to the floor?
It is not on strike and no one caused the other one to come crashing down. No one was near it when it happened.
Yeah, it was thinking about me when it keeled over.
I think I will get back on the yoga mat.

I am real pleased with my latest Center of my Mind painting! I don't have a file of it yet but I will get one soon. I actually got away from the computer today and did some Yoga on a dock right next to Claytor Lake with my teacher and some other class mates! Then we had a great lunch and now I am back in front of this screen.
So good to get away! Please check out my latest Youtube at the top! I am trying to post a Youtube every week to get more attention for my work there. I have heard that helps but so far I am doing worse. Oh well, I will probably try to upload some fast demonstrations. Those seem to be popular.
