I am really in the art wrestling stage with my latest painting from The Peaks of Otter resort.  It almost hit the trashcan stage but I managed to rescue it this morning.  Now it is finally coming along.  As I have said many times, if I could get want I want out of a painting without some aggravation it would be boring.  This one has been ANYTHING but boring!

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

Now that the house next door has been empty for quite a while, the ground hogs have moved in.  They live under the old shed and visit our back yard all the time to get produce from our fruit trees.  They have an under the fence tunnel that they use to go back and forth.  When they are not taking our fruit they are sunning themselves in the empty house's backyard.

I see them all the time when I park. They give me dirty looks and I dare you to do anything about our theft looks constantly.  I am starting to consider them to be Varmint Cong like in Caddy Shack and it is really tempting to light fire crackers under the shed when they are not looking but we will figure out another way.

Clyde said they probably could care less about their shadows but they are always looking for ours while they steal us blind.  I think Varmint Cong is a good name for them.
