I decided I could beat the afternoon thunderstorm problem by going to Clayter Lake this morning!  As soon as I got there everyone was called out of the water as one of the lifeguards heard thunder.  I didn't hear anything at all but we waited and after a while they let us in. 

Yea!  Love to swim in the lake and summers fly like rockets!  Here is the start of my latest Peaks of Otter painting!  Lots of ideas from our recent visit!

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

I saw a cute joke about retirement the other day that I'll bet Clyde will understand soon when he retires.  The only bad thing about retirement is you never get a day off! 

Wow, that really applies to me!  I thought when I retired from teaching at Radford University I would have all the time I needed to work on my artwork and promote it. 

Well, I can honestly say I am working much harder at my artwork now and always wishing for more time.  Maybe I should go back to teaching so I can get some rest.  LOL
