I am real pleased to be on Instagram!  I hope I get a lot of followers.  As usual, I have had a very hard time doing what I want.  I have an App to add a watermark to my paintings and an App to  correct the color and contrast but I keep messing up the images.   They look pretty good on my camera but when I check the site they are pretty awful.

I will get used to all the buttons and get it right but I am slow with computer stuff.  Something I have mentioned ad nauseum.

Anyway, I mentioned to Clyde all the problems I have been having with Instagram.  I told him that  in my case it should be called Instastupid.

Life with The Bird and Word Man - Clyde Kessler

As usual Clyde is out Bird Watching.  He is still uploading records to Cornell.  It is cold out there but nothing stops him.  I am so glad he is careful about hunters this time of the year.  He is in a State Park today that does not allow hunters except on rare occasions and then the park is closed.

When Hunting Season comes around I am reminded of a Muppets skit where two hunters are bragging about what they shot.  One said, "I shot me a tractor!"  The other one said, "Well, I got me a dump truck!"  Love those skits!  No offense to hunters!

Life with The Bird and Word Man - Clyde Kessler

Over the years Clyde and I have had a horrible times with pests.  The roaches in our first apartment were unbelievable.  Before we left on a trip one time Clyde donned a mask and blasted the whole kitchen with roach spray.  I called him The Lone Roacher.  It worked.  We never saw another roach after that.

Our house has been another story.  We have done battle with roaches and ants for most of the years we have lived here.  We finally got rid of the roaches but the ants always pay us a visit as soon as the weather is warm.

Now we are having problems with a wheat eating moth.

The other night I was talking about all the problems we have had with pests.  Right after I said they have been incredibly strong and resistant Clyde said thank you.

I can always count on that pest to turn a conversation around and make it funny.  For the record, Clyde was not one of the pests I was not talking about. LOL

I had an old cell phone that was good enough for me for a very long time.  People hardly ever contact me by phone for artwork.  They send an email.

No internet, phone, etc.

I finally updated by phone to an Android that has been driving me crazy.  I finally have it working right after I had to get a replacement.  The first one was really messed up.  My brother with a doctorate in Computer Science had a hard time setting his up. 

Anyway, when I swipe an icon there is a water sound.  I told Clyde that I think it sounds like water because it knows it may end up at the bottom of a lake some day.  I am tempted at times to send it there.

Love my Line Dance Class!  We are practicing for Christmas performances right now!  We have a great time performing for clubs and Retirement Homes this time of the year.  The audiences are always fun and I think we are terrific dancers!  I need to go find a green sweater.  We are also working on our clothes.  This year we are thinking of wearing both red and green.  Cheers!

Clyde and I do not like to fly.  I avoid it as much as possible but I am glad I crossed the Atlantic three times to Europe. Great trips!  So glad there are movies to watch to take my mind off all that water below.  I know airplanes are safer than cars but you can't pull over and check under the hood in an airplane.

Anyway, the other day we were discussing credit cards.  We don't like them either and have only one that is not used much.  I have to laugh at frequent flyer options.  Clyde's comment was, "Frequent flyer miles? How about frequent bomb shelter use?"  He would use one for that option.  LOL!

I am still cleaning out the mess in our house and now that I am in the computer room with all Clyde's books and documents the progress is very slow.  I pile the stuff up on the living room couch and he goes through it bit by bit when he gets a chance.  So much to go through!

Housework truly is an impossible task, especially when I have so much to do on the computer.  Sometimes I think I just need a bulldozer.  Of course a match would really finish the job but then I would have to take everything outside so we would still have a house to live in.  That is way too much work.  Back to the bulldozer idea!

Talked to my brother, the Computer Doc this morning and I have some advice for people that are computer challenged like me.

The reason my Instagram stopped working on my Android phone is because I hadn't set up the wifi and the phone was using all my data for internet.  I thought I had set it up but I was wrong because when I put in the password I knew I had forgot to do it.  Our password is a real weird one and I had to search for it.

Anyway, I'll bet most people didn't need the above information but I thought I would include it anyway.  Cheers!

I have been trying to clean out the outrageous mess in our house little by little.  I am now working through the computer room shelves.

I am careful to check with Clyde about pamphlets and other documents and yesterday one of them was an instruction booklet for a pair of binoculars.  When he said I could throw that out, I asked if he was sure.

He said he definitely knew that if he put his binoculars in the oven they would blow up.

I had no idea why he said that so he said to read the booklet.  It was a bunch of instructions in Japanese and next to each instruction there was a large picture of a sun with a very upset look on it's face.  Now I understand his comment!  LOL!

I am extremely aggravated with my new phone.  For some reason Instagram left.  I went online and was told to take it off and then re-install it.  I did that and the site said it would be on in a few minutes.  Well, not only did it not show up but now  there is no internet connection even though the wi-fi button is on. Argh! 

I will probably have to spend a lot of time chatting with someone to try to get my internet back on this time saving device- as always.  There are a lot of reasons why I wish I could magically change my birth year.

Clyde and I are not very patient people.  We get very irritated with computers and phones and TV commercials.  We both think there will come a day when the commercials have more air time than the program.  No wonder they started infomercials.

We are also impatient with cooking.  I am the fastest cook in the world.  Certainly, not the best, but definitely the fastest.

The last program Clyde would watch on TV is a Cooking Show.  As he says, "Who gives a rat's ass if you add this spice and it blows up the oven?"  Well, that's one way of putting it.

Clyde and I both got a kick out of a great post on Facebook!  A lot of people put up posts about the past and ask if anybody remembers.  They are fun but someone decided to put up a joke about those posts.  The picture is of a cave man using a rock for a tool.
