I will never look at my front screen door again in the same way. Today as I was going out to mail a package the bottom metal section caught my heel and gave it a big gash. It bled for a while and then stopped so I don't think I will need stitches but ouch!!! One time my mother clipped herself with the dishwasher door. After that every time I got near it she said watch out. I thought she was being overly cautious but not anymore.
I will be creeping out the front door for a long time. It was a freak accident and I let out some loud choice words. I was hoping nobody heard me but my great neighbor came over to make sure I had not fallen down and hit my head or something. Great to have nice neighbors! If I weren't chained to a computer I would socialize more. I will try to make more time for people. Life is so short.

Well, I am back to trying to find the answer to an Insurance question and being sent round and round in circles. I have a pad filled with the numbers I should call. Each person I call has a number I should call instead of their number. I think I may have the right one now but a robot answers and those robots drive me crazy. I say the wrong thing and they can't quite hear it and we go round and round in circles.
I will never forget how one company had my son older than me so they weren't going to cover his health costs. That one took months to straighten out.
Clyde said maybe they will send you the answer in 2096 when we are dead.
That won't do. I will strike up a conversation with the robot on Monday.

I am so pleased to sell a print of Blue Life to a great New York patron! This painting is one of many paintings that I did for my thesis. I compared the use of color of The Impressionists with the use of color of 20th century colorist Pierre Bonnard.
The thesis was both a written study of these artists and a comparison of their technique. I painted the same subject matter as I thought Monet, Renoir, and Bonnard would have painted them given what I know of these artists and what they wrote about regarding their approach to art.
Blue Life is a simple pitcher painted in the way I thought Pierre Bonnard would have painted it. I am very pleased with the strong glowing colors that are like those he used in his work. He pushed the color to it's limit.

I asked Clyde when should someone lie to a judge?

Wow! It is so great to be back to a computer that does not bump me off a page or give me grief when I want to copy paste something. I decided while I was away visiting family that all my computer work could just drop off a cliff. Laptops and me do not get along. I have great respect for Mathematics and I don't like all the quips about how someone that has not used Algebra in their adult life wonders why they had to take it in High School.
Actually we use Algebra and Calculus every day with our devices and many High School students haven't decided what they want to study in college so if they decide to become an engineer then they will be behind when they start college if they didn't take Algebra in High School.
Everyone should have to take Algebra. All that aside, I do love the below cartoon!
I asked Clyde if he had anything to add to the cartoon and he said he couldn't add.

My To Do List is so long today I want to hang it up somewhere and shoot it over and over again until it looks like swiss cheese. Oh well. I have already done a lot of work and there is plenty more to do.

Wow! I think the objects in our lives are becoming way too automated. What was the problem with rolling down a car window?
Why do people have riding lawn mowers when they could get some exercise pushing a mower?
Now there is a cup that stirs the drink for you. When I mentioned that to Clyde he asked if the cup takes the temperature of the liquid, too? Actually, there are cups that do that.
Well, I have said it before and I will say it again. If they computerize bathrooms we are going to need an out house.

Nothing today. Clyde and I both have a very long To Do List and that is not funny at all. If Clyde were here he would probably say change the words to do to don't do it and have a great day!
Feel like I am trying to get somewhere on one of those stationary exercise machines that we would never buy. No room and no desire to run in place. Our exercise must cover some territory, even if it is Line Dancing in the Living Room which I did do last night for the first time in three weeks!
Maybe we can get to the Lake today! Dream on!

Back to Yoga but still taking it easy. Twice I thought my back was completely better and twice the piriformis muscle acted up again. Still not painting. One thing I have noticed over the years is that when I paint if I am in pain I can hardly feel it. All my attention is on the painting. Oh well, I can still play the piano. We creative types have a hard time slowing down but sometimes the body insists we stop working so hard.

A cowboy rides into town in the Wild West and shoots an artist.
The sheriff asks him, "Why did you do that?"
The cowboy says, "I thought he was going to draw."
Clyde liked the joke and added another one.
Just be sure you don't paint a pony.
Why?
It might ride off into the sunset.

I hope this is the last time I say my back is better. Don't want to jinx it. I thought it was better two other times and that piriformis muscle just laughed at me and started acting up once again. I have slowed down to a crawl but there is so much to do. My studio and house will just have to exist without me for a little longer.
