Blue Ridge Parkway Artist, New Suggestion Painting, and He is so Ucky...

Blue Ridge Parkway Artist

I have finished the second layer of a floral still life that I am very pleased with!  Now I am going to get to work on a large Blue Ridge Parkway vista! Here is another Suggestion painting!

Dancing Mushrooms  Original  Acrylic Painting   NFS

Prints on Paper, Canvas, Metal, Greeting Cards, pillows, !phone and galaxy phone cases Available at  KENDALL KESSLER ART

Dancing Mushrooms is another sensuous, colorful painting from my series,
Suggestions. I am starting with an abstract expressionist surface and then looking for forms that appear in the paint. This time a shape that seemed like a mushroom appeared so I made it stronger and added another one with expressive brushwork around them. I am very
pleased with the energy in this one.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

I'm sure everyone knows about all the online scammers that get a photo of someone else and post as that person.  We women get bombarded with scammers that tell us we are beautiful so they can scam money out of us in one way or another.  I get those all the time but I am not always sure the person is a scammer so I communicate a little with them before getting rid of them.

My latest two scammers that use the flattery method have been on Twitter.  One of them I knew right away  was a scammer and I did not respond.  The other one I was not so sure about so I said thank you.  He then asked if I was married and I replied that I was.

His next comment cracked me up.  He said my husband is so ucky.  Well, I don't think he is ucky at all.  Of course it was a typo which he corrected with the next comment.  My husband is lucky according to him.  After a few more comments I was convinced he was a scammer and unfollowed him.

The sad thing is that I do get these all the time so I guess some poor women are falling for their tricks or I wouldn't keep getting them.  Lots of creeps on the internet!  Watch out ladies!

Blue Ridge Parkway Artist, Monarch Paintings, and They would be in here with Us...

Blue Ridge Parkway Artist

I am anxious to get to work on a still life.  The flowers aren't going to last forever and I don't want to go anywhere.  I just hope the guys are quiet to I can get some work done.  Glad I have an exhaust fan.  It covers up a multitude of noises.

Here is one of my few water media paintings.  I don't have this one up anywhere but I will have it on Etsy this evening.

Monarch on Red  Original Tempera on paper    $646

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

Radford is awaiting a huge snow storm and Clyde has a lot of bird seed out.   He has been griping about the squirrels.  They get a lot of the seed.  According to the Bird Man, squirrels get lazy in the winter and go on Bird Seed Welfare.

I asked him what the squirrels are supposed to do.  Don't they just hide away with their nuts?  He said if that were true, they would be in here with us.

Droll, very droll.

Thank you for looking at paintings by an artist of The Blue Ridge Parkway

Blue Ridge Parkway Artist, More Suggestion Paintings, and I Can't Print That...

 Blue Ridge Parkway Artist

I am still working hard on my Suggestions series.  It is a great experience to let a painting tell me what to do!  I also will have my third autumn Blue Ridge Parkway painting up soon.  Here are two more Suggestion paintings!

Mountain Path  Original Acrylic Painting  NFS

Prints on Paper, Canvas, Metal, Greeting Cards, Pillows, !phone, galaxy phone Cases Available at KENDALL KESSLER ART

http://pixels.com/featured/mountain-path-kendall-kessler.html

Mountain Path is another sensuous, colorful painting from my series,
Suggestions. I am starting with an abstract expressionist surface and then looking for forms that appear in the paint. This time a path with trees began to appear so I made the path and trees stronger. This type of woods scene is a part of me. I spent so much of my time in the woods. It is no wonder I have a lot of this type of peaceful paintings.

Looking In  Original Acrylic Painting    NFS

Prints on Paper, Canvas, Metal, Greeting Cards, Pillows, !phone, galaxy phone Cases Available at KENDALL KESSLER ART

http://pixels.com/featured/looking-in-kendall-kessler.html

Looking In is another sensuous, colorful painting from my series,
Suggestions. I am starting with an abstract expressionist surface and then looking for forms that appear in the paint. This time an eye with vertical marks around it began to appear so I made it into a scene of someone looking through a broken chain link fence. I couldn't be happier with the colors, textures, and mood in this one.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

My husband is still rather sick from a bug that started a week before Christmas.  Talk about staying power.  Anyway, he is my main source for humor so I was goading him last night.

I talked about the political party he hates.  Actually he doesn't like either one but he does hate one more than the other.  All I got were some expressive hand gestures and colorful language that I can't put here.

I talked about the games that he thinks are taking kids away from studying and loving the environment that he works hard to protect.   I got some rather pointed comments involving the moon with that one.

I never did get anything I can put in print so maybe when he feels better I will get some funnies I can use.

The Word Man is down for a while but he will be back!
