Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
Clyde and I need to keep up with technological changes and we are reluctant to do so. He hates using his phone and still uses a small notebook to record bird sightings. He just uploaded his 30, 000th siting to eBirds at Cornell! What a dedicated naturalist and hater of computers and phones. His two volume book on Entymology came with two second volumes and no first so I thought we would have to find the receipt and mail it back.
Well, for his first time, he took a picture of a code on Amazon and just went to show UPS the code and they pack and ship it back for free. That certainly is a new experience for us! I told Clyde we need to keep up. Not keeping up with technology is like one of our relatives whose spelling is so bad spell check can't figure his words out. He gave me a lecture on how ridiculous the rules are which is nothing new and certainly not a good reason to not learn to spell correctly.
Anyway, Clyde came back with the book because our mailing service that has many carriers including UPS is not an official UPS store so they can't use the computer code to help us out. Clyde will have to travel for thirty minutes to an actual UPS store.
Now that's a Christmas and Computer Ho Ho Ho! Argh!

I can't believe how fast last week went! I think the same will happen this week as I run around trying to get everything done before we take a short trip.

I can't say I like all the political comments on Facebook but I do like the funnies!
I told Clyde about a Santa cartoon yesterday. Santa is writing a letter to a mother and tells her he received her son's request for a drum set.
If she leaves a hundred dollars under the cookie tin he will not send the drum set.
Of course, Clyde had to put in his two cents. Yeah, the kid can use that cookie tin for drum. That shouldn't be too loud!
I don't know about that. She better just put the cookies on a plate. The tin could be very dangerous in this case! LOL!

Well, looking forward to Line Dance this afternoon! Love to dance and we will be performing at Warm Hearth in Blacksburg this Saturday! I have been reading on the internet that dancing helps to keep our mental faculties going. I am all for that and it is great exercise and fun! I highly recommend it to everyone.
I am so pleased to sell more prints of my most popular shore painting, Marsh View at Pawleys Island to a great Florida patron and a great Radford VA patron! This time the prints are on mugs! I am trying real hard not to get so caught up in a problem that has been going on for quite a while. I don't want to get into the details but it is aggravating and I need to keep my mind off of it. Easier said than done.
Oh well, we had a great Thanksgiving celebration and I am looking forward to a great Christmas with family and then Duck 2019 with more family! Shouldn't complain!
