Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
Recently a store that serves great chicken and other meals re-opened after a break while they renovated the place. We love this store and buy lunches there often so we were so glad when they opened up.
The other day I went in and noticed they had a new floor which looks great ,and the serving area is different. Before, customers could see the workers cooking the chicken, burgers, etc. Now, that part if blocked off.
Clyde said maybe they thought it would be better if we don't see the times the food lands on the floor and one of them says it will probably taste better that way. Just kidding! Great place! We will be there for chicken soon.

The other day I was chanting what I always chant when the Colonel comes on and points to five dollar meals.
Colonel - Here's a five dollar meal.
Me - Here's a fattening five dollar meal.
Colonel - Here's a five dollar meal.
Me - here's an extremely fattening five dollar meal.
Colonel - Here's a five dollar meal.
Me - Here's an incredibly fattening five dollar meal.
You get the point. Don't get me wrong. I loved KFC when I was a kid and didn't care about being chubby and I fell back in love with it when they introduced baked chicken for people like me and every one else that does not work all day on a farm, roof, construction, etc.
Clyde said he remembered that the Colonel was a slender man. He probably was fond of saying to himself, I got everyone hooked on this fattening fried chicken, made millions while I lived in my mansion and ate quiche.

Another day, another computer problem. Yesterday when Clyde called to make sure I was up I complained about how the computer kept spinning. It just would not wake up. He said to pour some coffee on it and put it out of my misery.
Sounds like a great plan to me!
Now, today I can't modify my latest Youtube without skips occurring that are not in the original video. Argh!!!
Another day, another computer problem. Yes, I already said that.
Here's a computer joke I can relate to. A man is holding a gun on his computer and saying now you will do exactly what I tell you to do!

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
Clyde spends his evenings checking on the hawk migration in the back yard. Lately, a bird keeps pecking at the computer room window where I am attached to this merciless machine. This bird keeps hiding behind part of the window frame so I can't see which species it is. I keep telling him The Bird Man is out back.
I told Clyde and he said he talks to a cat bird every evening before it goes to sleep,
What does it say?
Probably, why don't you take those binoculars and yourself inside so I can go to sleep without a huge predator by my nest.
Makes sense to me.
Cute parrot joke. What do you call memory loss in a parrot? Polynesia!

I like to tease Clyde about the food he won't eat. He claims that he is not that picky but he is the only person I have ever met that does not like barbecue sauce. Yesterday I told him I was going to get groceries so he could have his favorite meal. His reply was,
Orangutan pie?
Now you know that is your second favorite meal.
Monkey Ghost Souffle?
That's the one.
Actually it was fish. As I have said before, Clyde hates fish. He forces himself to eat it once a week but he thinks we should all just let them keep on swimming.

Well, my painting is behaving itself again. I figured out how to solve the composition problem and am now having a great time on the last layer. Now, how long will the great time last. Who knows? I really think this one is going to be highly successful but it might fight back and then I will move on while it sulks. I have learned over the years how to keep my sanity and still paint. For the millionth time, I really do love to paint!

Well, the painting I am working on is sneaky. It was working just fine for a while and then it decided it was arm wrestling time. Argh! I have a composition problem that I just can't ignore so it is back to the easel with a frown on my face. When will these paintings ever learn to let me win once in a while? Oh well, I never get exactly what I want, but I do come close and almost all of them look better after some time has passed. I really do love to paint in spite of all the evidence to the contrary.

Ravens are so smart. I was listening to a short program on them yesterday and the speaker said they are as smart as a three year old child! Clyde says he talks to Ravens all the time. He doesn't know what they are saying but he has fun talking to them and listening to their answers. I saw a cute raven joke. Edgar Allan Poe is writing next to what appears to be a passive aggressive raven. It keeps saying Never Mind!
I wonder if that is what a raven says to Clyde and he just doesn't get it?
Clyde disagrees. He thinks the raven is telling him to look for a cliff and see if he can fly off of it.
