Working on a new Youtube and Ham for...

Hopefully tomorrow I will put up my eleventh Youtube on my new series, Kendall Expressions. I am enjoying working on paintings that are based on natural and manufactured things but these paintings are wonderful excursions into my subconscious.  My Dream Paintings folder on my websites are paintings based on paintings I see in my sleep.   In those work I tried to re-create paintings that I have already seen.  Kendall Expressions are creative leaps into my personal reactions to color and texture.  Please check them out!

 Having some difficult times lately so I can't think of much that is funny right now but I did see a slogan on PBS that made me laugh.  The Barter Theater in Abingdon Virginia is a great theater that I have been to.  It is a beautiful theater and the performance was great.  I didn't know until tonight that it was named Barter because during the Great Depression farmers were allowed to pay with farm products to see the plays.   So, of course, their slogan is Ham for Hamlet!  Love it!

I missed the first episode of the new season of The Mindy Project.  I hope my drawing was visible.  Be sure to check out the show and my drawing, Reaching Out!  I won't miss it next week.

Sold two more Prints and We may have to give in...

Sold two more prints and I am pleased that this is the first time for both of them.  I hope patrons will broaden their selections so more and more of my work is reproduced and enjoyed.  I am in nineteen states, Canada, Germany, and Australia right now.  The recent prints have been to California and Virgina where I already have  a lot of prints and originals.  As I have said before I want to cover the world!

A while back I mentioned that we did not have cable but finally gave in when the digital take-over took away our stations.  I never thought we would give in but we do want some channels, especially PBS.  I have always dis-liked air conditioning for many reasons.  The main one is if you have air conditioning then you don't ever want to go outside.  If you don't have it you get used to the heat.  The other reason is I am such a cold person that for everyone to be comfortable I have to freeze or bundle up.  I think this summer has changed my mind.  We have active solar but are thinking of getting a heat pump to use for the dog days.  I told my husband the other night that it was so hot I wished I had a valet and maybe he could do that for me.  He said he could be a varmint or a vagrant but never a valet.  Talk about a crazy request.  I guess the heat is getting to me.

The Plot Thickens and What did the Leftover say...

In another blog I swore I would not give in to Cable TV.  We finally gave in to cell phones when land lines started to disappear in public places.  I didn't mind giving in to that one since there are great deals on the internet for people that mostly just use them for emergencies.  This Digital Conspiracy is wearing us down.  Either our antennae is messed up or it is getting harder and harder to get a signal from the various channels.  Now we can't get most channels even when the weather is cool and there are no storms around.  I mostly watch DVDs but there are a few programs we like and I am missing PBS more and more.  I may have to eat my words and get cable.  I come from a family of stubborns.  As my sister said, "Two big stubborns make four little stubborns,  Yuck!  Another bill!

My writer husband, Clyde, is kindly trying to come up with some humor for my blog since I certainly am not a writer.  I really appreciate it.  We all need humor.  This time he came up with a riddle.  What did the leftover say to the other items in the refrigerator when it was put back for a second time?  Curses, foiled again!
