I had a lot of success with my new painting of a Wintergreen sunset yesterday and decided I should put it in my Stages of my Artwork collection.  I am intending to completely cover it with another layer that will look very much like it does now but with even more complicated systems of color and texture. 

I have learned so much about the technique that is the best approach for my expressions but I keep changing with every painting and there is something quite different about the color interaction in the mountains this time.  

I have always found that constant flucuation of warm and cool colors in the Blue Ridge ranges to be especially difficult so I am very excited that it is working out better than ever this time and I don't want to lose what I have right now so the file will be preserved.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

Now that Clyde has retired from Tech he is great about helping me with the housework.  He is also trying to straighten up his mountains of research in our computer room that actually has a bed for a guest but can't be used without an overhaul of all the stuff that is on it and under it.  Oh well, he keeps at it. 

Anyway, we share the dishes. We take turns doing the lunch and supper detail.  On Sunday we eat out.  Last Sunday I decided to do the lunch dishes which includes dishes from breakfast and snacks.  We are probably the biggest snackers on the planet. 

I told him I would do the lunch dishes and he would do the supper dishes and, as God is my witness, there will be supper dishes.  It doesn't matter whether or not we cook, they still breed like rabbits.
