Wow! What happened to Thursday? I wanted to post this but never got the chance. Yoga, Line Dancing, Bowling, piano practice, and housework. Hopefully, today will be a little less hectic. I wish I would sleep better. I went to bed at 11:30 and probably actually got to sleep at 12:00 and up at 6:00. Gee, I wonder why I am so tired all the time. Back to work. Cheers for the weekend! I am so please I filmed another Youtube ! I am trying to have one a week but it is hard. I was going for one of my coloristic, whimsical works but I think when I finish it , it will have gentle color contrast and soft modulation of color.
I truly paint in many different directions and I am making it a point to experiment in my Demo youtubes. The last two were based on sketches but I thought I would probably get wild with the color. The puppy one certainly isn't lacking in strong color but it is almost monochromatic. I did use a limited palette but I didn't use strong color accents like I thought I would.
Anyway, I should have the latest one up tomorrow and then I want to make a short youtube on my latest Blue Ridge painting that I am very pleased with!

I love to goad Clyde into saying something that makes me laugh. The other day I was looking at the menu at a Chinese restaurant that we usually go to once a week.
I asked him why is there a chicken dish that is called General Tsao's Chicken?
I don't know. Maybe it was a general that loved to cook. After he sent the warriors out he fired up the wok.
Actually, I looked it up and it was named after a nineteenth general who loved eating it. So, I guess someone else fired up the wok. Probably his wife. LOL!

I don't care what anyone says. There are demons in my kitchen. Yes, Mom, I am impatient and move too fast, but the things that happen in my kitchen are ridiculous. I have tried real hard to slow down but I am always dropping things and I swear trash jumps out of the trash can right after I put it in there.
I do enough Forward Folds in Yoga in class and in my home practice. Why do I have to bend down a zillion times when I work in the kitchen? Like, I said. There are demons in my kitchen laughing at me!
And who put the caramel sauce on my glasses frame? LOL!

Not looking forward to this afternoon. I have to get another crown. This is my third one and I hope it is the last. My first dentist was awful and did not see that I had three cavities and one was very bad. They were discovered after we switch dentists.
Like a lot of people, as I got older cracks developed in spite of the fillings so it is either get a crown or lose the tooth. Of course, the gold crown is cosmetic according to the insurance company so the cost is very high. How can a crown be cosmetic in any way?
Oh well, I will paint this morning, do a lot of computer and house chores and then get on over to an unpleasant procedure.
Glad to have great people that are willing to work in a mouth.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler
Clyde and I are still going through the Married with Children TV show. I bought all seasons and we have been having a great time watching such a hilarious show! I still accuse Clyde of writing it and hiding the money somewhere. The lines are so like the clever quips I hear all the time from him.
He is not an easy audience. Once in a while I get him to laugh. On the show they are always cracking jokes about Oprah and one of my favorite Peggy speeches is when she tried to convince Al she works so hard for him. She watches Oprah all day so they will have something to talk about. She dresses up and takes beauty naps so he will be interested in her. She spends all his money so he will think he is a good provider. It is an exhausting, thankless job, but she does it all for him.
How Katie Sagal said all that with a straight face is beyond me. Yesterday, when Clyde called to wake me up I told him I found a channel that shows Oprah reruns all day long and I was going to watch them so we could have something to talk about.
Got a laugh from him that time!

Been lazy today. Well, lazy for a workaholic. Cleaned out part of my studio, decided on the composition for the next painting, did dishes and vacuumed the floors. Not bragging. I'm sure most people have done more today and I have lounged around quite a bit.
Not like Peg Bundy, but I have been watching a movie that I started yesterday. Time to get it together and get my computer work done. Banking and supper is next.

Wow! The ants are marching away in our bathroom. The kitchen still has some but they look like they are just wandering around looking for food or their friends. I guess toothpaste rules. Masses and masses in the bathroom.

Soon we will be looking into moving. We need to work on this house and find one that will suit us. Could be a year or two but we will move.
As I said before, we will not be down sizing as people tend to do when they retire. We need more room for all of Clyde's research and I hope I can get a bigger studio.
Yesterday, I said to Clyde that when we move and have more room we may actually accomplish something we never accomplished with this home.
What's that?
Clean it up.

I have been battling ants today. We have a lot of trouble with ants so I went to work scrubbing the table and floor where they have congregated the most. They are also on the counters and having a big party in the bathroom. I guess toothpaste is where the action is.
Anyway, I did a lot of the Yoga table top pose today and thought I had done some good. An hour later they were covering up the table again. That is when I shrewdly noticed I had not moved the plastic jar of honey. The trail was leading right to it. So, got rid of the honey and now there are a few stragglers wondering where the Free Food Festival is.
Hopefully, we can eat on our table without obnoxious visitors this evening. Fingers crossed!
