I
am at the arm wrestling stage of my latest oil painting. First layer is
always fun then it gets hard but I still love what I do. If it were
easy, it would be boring. Always an exciting experience! Glad I am
preserving the layers to they are never completely lost!

Okay, the guy that is going to take care of our lawn that really does look like it needs a hay baler still has not showed up.
In
Wednesday's blog I said I had mentioned to Clyde that it is looking
scary out there and he said maybe Big Foot it lurking behind the grass.
I said I thought I saw him.
Yesterday he said maybe Big Foot could do the job.
Today
I asked him if Big Foot was going to chew the grass down and he said he
texted him. Waiting for Big Foot to mow our lawn. How many people can
say that?

Clyde's
knee is hurting less and less while our grass looks like it needs a
baler. He doesn't want me to do it. Not sure why. I think I could get
it done but he would rather hire someone until his knee is better.
He
called me this morning to see if his lunch was still in the fridge. It
was. Then he mentioned the tree guys are coming today to chop down
some trees.
He also mentioned he was getting someone to mow the
lawn. I said good, it's scary out there. He laughed and said maybe Big
Foot is lurking behind the grass.
I think I saw him! Yikes!
Saw a cute Big Foot t-shirt on Pinterest. Big Foot doesn't believe in you, either.

am so pleased to back to oils! Been walking with Clyde and getting
Spring inspirations! The first one is a beautiful New River view from
Riverview Park. I have the first layer done and anxious to get to the
second. Love oil paint! I am also going to start a pastel portrait
soon. So much to do! So little time.

Clyde
was able to walk up a flight of stairs yesterday without pain! Yes!
His knee is improving so I think I should be able to get a funny out of
him.
I told him I was completely dry in regards to funnies. How do I get wet again?
He said I should go outside in our present deluge, go on down to the river and jump in and tell my jokes to the fish.
Okay, that was a weird one, but it is all I got on a drizzly Monday so I took it.
Great
heaven joke on the internet! A guy is trying to check in but St. Peter
tells him he almost made it, but those fish stories and pictures on
Facebook. Really?

Love
the weather right now. Not too cold or hot. Just right. We are in
for a deluge this weekend so it is time to step away from the computer
and get outside. Clyde and I walk very slowly until his knee is
better. I hope I will get a good report when he gets home. The
progress varies. Hope every one has a great weekend!

is still having trouble with his knee in spite of exercise and
weights. It will be a long time before he is better but you have to
give him an "A" for effort! His sense of humor is coming back and I am
getting some goofy answers to my questions.
Yesterday I called him and opened with,
You know how we all change a lot as we age.
No, I am just an older monkey.
Well,
I have changed a lot. When I was young I wasn't that interested in
History and now I am fascinated by it. I want to read all that whaling
history in Moby Dick. Where is it?
Who knows?
Got it from the library and now those parts of the book don't seem to take up as much of the book as I thought they did.
There
is a great Moby Dick funny on the internet. Herman Melville is puzzled
about a piece of paper that he is holding. I white whale is staring at
him and saying it is a restraining order, idiot.

I
was determined today to have a good Wednesday. I don't know what it is
about Wednesday's, but things seem to just go wrong. I am pleased to
report this evening that I had a good Wednesday and hope the evening is
good, too.
Lots to do but the glasses strand with little tiny
fake pearls did not burst all over the kitchen floor and no rants over
technology, though the rants can happen any day of the week. I won't
get into all those other Wednesday irritations that usually occur.

is using weights now to strengthen his knee. I was real pleased to
find an adjustable set so he can take it slow. Still not getting much
humor from him right now. I asked him if he had a funny for my blog and
he said he was too pooped out, popped up, blowed up, and busted to come
up with a joke.
Well, I guess that is a writer with a sore
knee's way of saying nothing right now. Saw a great surgery joke
online. In the middle of an operation the doctor tells the nurse to go
to Surgery.com and click on the Are you totally lost icon. The patient
hasn't been put under yet. YIKES!

Technology
has me screaming at times. I needed to correct something and when I
told the person on chat I did not know the number I needed to use
correct the situation, he gave me a link to the same page where I needed
that number to correct the situation.
Arggh! I explained that
goof up to the next online chat agent and she rectified the situation
but this was after I had gone through a bunch of other online circles
that turned into dead ends. One technology problem can take up way too
much time. Cheers on a Monday! I need some.

is able to walk more, but every once in a while his knee locks up and
he lets out a yell. I will be so glad when he is better. He gets
another shot today.
When we walk in the park I take my camera. I
never know when I will see something for inspiration. The last time he
asked me if I had my camera and I told him I wasn't taking it.
He said we would be sure to see a Big Foot sighting or some paranormal activity that could actually be photographed.
After
we had walked for a while I mentioned that we hadn't seen anything that
was weird. He said, oh no? Look to your right. I was on the left. Ha
ha! Yes, you are weird but I have a lot of photographs of you. Don't
need anymore just yet. Keep walking.

Getting
a lot done today. So far, the ear pulsing is not there! Maybe the
pulsatile tinnitus is due to a sinus infection that I am getting over.

is still working with a sore knee and not joking around much. I think
the funny barometer will rise as the pain decreases.
Anyway, a
funny thing happened to me on Facebook the other day that reminded me of
a favorite show, The Middle. A friend sent me a message proclaiming
his love for me. He is always complimenting my artwork so I didn't want
to be harsh. I thanked him and said I didn't think he should be saying
that to a married woman.
He apologized, said he was married
too, and had been hitting the moonshine. On a favorite episode of The
Middle, Frankie tells Mike after a great party that she would like to
invite all their friends over for a party.
She sent them emails
that night and in the morning when she sobered up and realized she
didn't really want to have a big party, she said, "We need a
breathalyzer on that computer!" Love it! I think that Facebook friend
needs one, too. That wasn't the first time he had sent me a strange
message.

I have said many times, I love to laugh and I try to have something
funny on my blog. My father was hilarious and he always ended a
conversation with a joke. He knew how to live!
Clyde cracks me
up all the time and I depend on him for funnies. I didn't have anything
for today so I called him up and asked him if he had a funny. Not
today. He said his hurt knee has kicked his funny bone right off.
Even
when he can't think of anything he comes up with something! Love it!

I
am still considering all the phobias I have and I mentioned my knee
phobia to a friend and she agreed and added hip phobia. At a certain
age you realize that exercise and keeping your weight down may not be
enough.
Clyde is still recovering from knee surgery and I am
worried about my knees. Oh well, to quote a favorite movie, Strictly
Ball Room, a life lived in fear is half lived. I wonder if I am even at
a quarter lived with all my fears.
Saw a good funny phobia today. I have a phobia of german sausage. Yes, I fear the wurst. Love it!
